The intermediate layer satisfies all of the following properties: (1) the intermediate layer has a thickness of 20 μm or less, (2) a compressive shear storage modulus at a temperature of 25° C. is 1.0×104 Pa or less, and (3) at the temperature of 25° C. and 1 Hz, the compressive shear storage modulus is higher than a compressive shear loss modulus. Abstract: A glass sheet composite includes at least two sheets and a liquid layer held between the two sheets, and at least one of the two sheets being a glass sheet. In the glass sheet composite, the two sheets have been disposed so that an edge surface of one of the two sheets and an edge surface of the other sheet are not flush with each other to constitute a step portion having a stair-like shape in a cross-sectional view, and the glass sheet composite further comprising a seal material provided to the step portion to seal up at least the liquid layer.

Abstract: The glass sheet composite of the present invention includes at least two sheets, a liquid layer held between two adjacent sheets of the at least two sheets, and a seal material disposed between the two sheets so as to seal up the liquid layer, in which at least one of the two sheets is a glass sheet, the glass sheet composite including a light-shielding part disposed so as to overlay a boundary between the liquid layer and the seal material when the glass sheet composite is viewed in a plan view. Because of this, the boundary can be concealed, and this not only results in an improvement in designability and a wider choice of materials for the liquid layer and the seal material.
