    摘要: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a server comprising a memory to store instructions and a controller coupled to the memory, in which the controller, responsive to executing the instructions, performs operations. The operations include detecting a condition requiring a migration of an active transport connection at a source server to a target server without interrupting communications occurring in the active transport connection. The source server is directed to transmit to the target server a migration command with state information from the source server to enable migrating the active transport connection to the target server without interrupting communications occurring in the active transport connection. A message is then received from the source server indicating the source server has received from the target server an acknowledgment that the migrating has been performed. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    摘要: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving from a wireless device a request for a network connection and facilitating, in response to the request, a communication session between a wireless access node in communication with the wireless device and a packet data network. Control signals are exchanged between a second network device and a packet data network gateway. The second network device includes a mobility anchoring function and operating in an evolved packet core of a long term evolution system. Eligibility of the wireless communication device to participate in a direct tunnel connection is determined, the direct tunnel allowing transfer of user data packets between the wireless device and packet data network to bypass the mobility anchoring function. Establishment of the direct tunnel connection is facilitated to transfer multiple user data packets between the wireless device and the packet data network.

The data is forwarded to the radio access node via a wireless terrestrial bearer of the wireless bearer service, wherein the radio access node wirelessly distributes the data to the number of mobile devices via the mobile user service over a common radio channel.
