    Abstract: A torque transferring assembly that includes: a first output; a second output; and a spider located in between the first output and the second output. The spider is adapted to support a plurality of torque transferring elements such that each of the torque transferring elements are in communication with both of the first output and the second output. The torque transferring assembly is adapted to supply a torque to both the first output and the second output so that both outputs rotate together until a load or resistance acting on the first output becomes higher than a load or resistance acting on the second output. The torque transferring assembly is then adapted to transfer the torque to the second output so that the first output slows or ceases to rotate, while the second output continues to rotate.

    Abstract: A brake piston includes a piston pocket. The piston pocket receives a nut that is axially movable along a center axis. The nut is restricted from rotating within the piston pocket when a torque due to a frictional engagement between a nut seal and an inner pocket wall, one or more projections, or both is greater than an input torque at the nut. The nut is rotatable within the piston pocket when a torque due to the frictional engagement between the nut seal and the inner pocket wall, the one or more projections or both is less than the input torque at the nut and is less than the torque due to the frictional engagement between the piston and the piston seal.

    Abstract: A brake assembly comprising: (a) a caliper including: (i) one or more pistons, (b) one or more rotary to linear actuators that provides an axial force to move the one or more pistons, (c) a motor gear unit in communication with the one or more rotary to linear actuators, the motor gear unit including: (i) a motor; and (b) a motor brake that prevents movement of the motor gear unit, the pistons, or both when the motor is turned off so that a brake apply is maintained, the motor brake including: (i) housing; (ii) an engaging element; (iii) a sleeve, and (iv) a solenoid that is in communication with the sleeve so that when the solenoid moves the sleeve, the engaging element is moved into contact with the housing creating a braking force.
