    摘要: A semiconductor laser array device in which a single photodetector is provided near the exit ports on one side of the semiconductor laser array device that has a plurality of semiconductor lasers arranged close to each other, the light outputs from each of the laser light sources are detected in a time-sharing manner, and the corresponding lasers are controlled by feedback relying upon the detected signals, so that outputs of the lasers are stabilized.

    摘要: In a variable density scanning apparatus, a variable focal distance device is provided in a scanning optical system. This variable focal distance device is formed of a light waveguide having a plurality of electrodes provided of which the lengths along the direction of incident laser beam are decreased or increased with the increase of the distance from the central electrode. The voltage to be applied between the electrodes is controlled in accordance with a desired dot pattern so as to change the refractive index of the light waveguide through which the laser beam is passed, thereby effectively changing the focal distance so that the diameter of the scanning laser beam spot can be changed in one dimension.

    摘要: An optical printer using laser beams, wherein, when a plurality (n) of laser beams are used at once to carry out a scanning operation, the positions of spots of said laser beams in both the primary scanning direction and sub-scanning direction are set so as to have the relation l=(n-1)a+m.multidot.n.multidot.a, wherein m is a positive integer (m.gtoreq.1); a the distance between the adjacent scanning lines in the sub-scanning direction on the printing surface of the optical printer after a printing operation; and l the distance between the adjacent laser beams in the sub-scanning direction on the surface of a photosensitive drum, whereby a high-quality printing effecting no overlapping and omission of images can be obtained even if the distance between the adjacent laser beams is increased during a scanning operation using a plurality of laser beams at once.

    摘要: An improved laser scanner has a scanning lens composed of a single lens element and at least one surface of that lens element is of such a geometry that the curvature in a direction normal to the scanning direction varies gradually in the scanning direction in accordance with the specific deflecting face of an optical deflector. This laser scanner experiences less curvature of the image plane and achieves high resolution.
