摘要： An optical disk comprising a plastic disk body having fluorescent coloring material dispersed therein. Pits representing stored data are formed on a first main surface of the plastic disk body, a reflecting layer is formed over the first main surface having the pits and a protecting layer is formed over the reflecting layer. When the optical disk is subjected to an external light, the fluorescent coloring material emits a radiation of a fluorescent light of a particular color, which can be seen at the opposite, second main surface and the outer circumferential surface of the optical disk. The optical disk can be also subjected to a laser beam for regenerating data stored in the optical disk.

摘要： An optical phase plate is provided in the form of a drawn and oriented film or sheet, having a composition comprising a vinylidene fluoride resin and a methyl methacrylate resin in a mixing ratio of the former to the latter between about 65/35 and about 85/15 by weight, in which the crystal structure of the vinylidene fluoride resin consists mainly of a .beta.-form and the film or the sheet has dimensional stability and a retardation value R within a range from 500 to 650 nm. The optical phase plate is produced by uniformly kneading and melt-extruding the predetermined PVDF/PMMA mixture into a sheet and subjecting the sheet to drawing and then to heat treatment.

Identification information for the mobile station is received. A radio wave coverage decision unit looks up the radio wave coverage storage to determine whether the identified access points are within each other's coverage of radio waves. A communication mode switch switches the communication mode of the originating and destination terminals to ad-hoc mode in accordance with the determination result.

摘要： A wireless communication system which enables fast handovers by eliminating a time lag that occurs during handover process. A new base station recognizes lower layer link switching timing of a mobile station, then adjusts the output timing of a packet transmission initiation message, which triggers packet transmission, so that when a packet is transmitted from a new relay device to the mobile station, the packet may arrive at the mobile station immediately after the lower layer link switching, and sends out the packet transmission initiation message at the adjusted output timing to the new relay device. On receiving the packet transmission initiation message, the new relay device transmits the packet to the mobile station. The mobile station executes the lower layer link switching to complete lower layer handover, and then completes upper layer handover on receiving the packet from the new relay device immediately after the link switching.
