    摘要: A liquid crystal panel with built-in sensors 11 includes, in a pixel array 17, a plurality of pixel circuits 1 and a plurality of optical sensors 2 which are arranged two-dimensionally. Infrared light transmitting filters 3 that allow infrared light to pass therethrough and cut off visible light are provided in respective paths of light entering the optical sensors 2. A backlight 15 including white LEDs 4 and infrared LEDs 5 is provided on a back surface of the liquid crystal panel 11. With this, reflected light of backlight light including infrared light is detected by the optical sensors 2 without receiving the influence of visible light, and thus a touch position is detected with high accuracy, irrespective of display data.

The optical sensors 2 are provided to be associated with pixels 1 in every other row (e.g., to be associated with pixels 1 in even rows). A panel drive circuit 16 performs one-line inversion drive and reads signals based on the amounts of received light, from the optical sensors 2. Since the outputs from the optical sensors 2 change in the same direction due to the influence of display data, stripe noise resulting from the switching of the polarities of voltages written into pixel circuits 3 is prevented from occurring in an image generated based on the outputs from the optical sensors 2.

    摘要: A display panel with built-in optical sensors is provided that can accurately remove a noise component in an imaging signal of an image pick-up sensor in a display region without being influenced by distance from a heat source or distance from a sensor output terminal. The display panel with built-in optical sensors has an active matrix substrate having a pixel region in which pixels are disposed in a matrix, and is configured such that optical sensors are formed in at least a portion of the pixel region. Among the optical sensors in the pixel region are image pick-up sensors (12S) and light-shielded sensors (12B) that are shielded from light. The display panel with built-in optical sensors further includes a correction circuit (4) that corrects sensor output of the image pick-up sensors (12S) with use of sensor output from the light-shielded sensors (12B).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a display device in which a plurality of optical sensors are provided in a display panel. A liquid crystal panel with built-in sensors (11) includes, in a pixel array (18), a plurality of pixel circuits and a plurality of optical sensors which are arranged two-dimensionally. A panel drive circuit (17) writes signals generated according to display data D3 into the pixel circuits, and reads signals generated according to the amounts of received light, from the optical sensors. An image processing unit (12) switches display data which is used before reading by the panel drive circuit (17) is performed, to fixed data suitable for image input. For the fixed data, white image data or blue image data is used. According to the present invention, by performing image input after displaying, using fixed data, an image suitable for image input, the influence of a displayed image is eliminated, enabling to perform image input and touch position detection with high accuracy, irrespective of displayed image. The display device of the present invention can be used as a liquid crystal display device.
