The unified messaging system comprises a unified messaging system server and clients, such as personal computers, telephones, facsimile machines, and two-way paging machines connected via both land based and wireless connections. This system enables a user to access and retrieve a variety of messages, including voice mail messages, facsimiles, and electronic mail messages via a unified user interface that clearly distinguishes each message type using message identifiers, and segregates messages by type.

    摘要: A terminal for a light conductor for uniform illumination of a rectangular field in medical and, especially, dental applications has a transparent, cylindrical lens body in a mount with its axis perpendicular to the axis of a socket for receiving the light exit end of the light conductor. The side of the cylindrical lens body facing the socket has a trough-shaped recess of symmetric cross section. The width of the trough-shaped recess continuously expands from the bottom to the margin of the trough-shaped recess, the bottom being perpendicular to the axis of the socket and perpendicular to the axis of the cylindrical lens body.

    摘要: Unitary spaces each having a floor defined by a perforated portion and a drive pulley for the cable portion of the loop. The loop is driven in reverse directions to move the belt portion between its floor forming position and an inverted position for cleaning. The belt portion carries a vertical rear end wall of the broiler quarters, disposed transversely of the belt. The side walls and the front end wall of the quarters are mounted on the frame. The belt portion extends round the guide roller to form a table section immediately to the outside of the front end wall position. To extract broilers from the battery, the front end wall is removed and the loop is driven so as gently to transport the broilers out onto the table section from which they are transferred onto a transverse conveyor almost at the same height. To install chicks, these are placed on the same table section, the loop being driven in the reverse direction so as to carry the chicks into the broiler quarters. The birds' droppings fall away through the perforations in the floor which remains stationary during the rearing and fattening process. The birds therefore remain cleaner and healthier than when made to rest on dried droppings which form pressure points creating breast blisters when the birds are fat.

    摘要: An ignition system having a low voltage source serving as a starting point for producing of an ignition voltage at least one ignition spark gap via at least one ignition branch, said branch including a said ignition spark gap, a high voltage capacitor, a high voltage transformer for producing a voltage at the high voltage capacitor of at least the same order of magnitude as said ignition voltage, an auxiliary spark gap having a breakdown threshold, and timing control means for controlling voltage delivery timing to said branch; wherein said auxiliary spark gap is disposed at an output side of said high voltage transformer and said high voltage capacitor is coupled to said auxiliary spark gap in a manner causing the high voltage capacitor to discharge to said ignition spark gap when the breakdown threshold of the auxiliary spark gap is exceeded; wherein the high voltage transformer has minimum inductances and minimum impedances; wherein a medium voltage transformer for producing a voltage between the low voltage and the ignition voltage and a medium voltage storage capacitor that is chargeable by said medium voltage transformer are provided between the low voltage source and the high voltage transformer; and wherein a controllable element is provided in said branch at an input side of said high voltage transformer, said controllable element being controlled by the timing control means in a manner operable for separating and interconnecting said high voltage transformer and said medium voltage storage capacitor.

    摘要: To apply a silicon oxide adhesion-promoting layer to a metal prosthesis part or frame, for subsequent application of a dental plastic thereon, the prosthesis is subjected to flame hydrolysis derived from a flame hydrolysis burner (11) which has a silicon compound in vapor or gas form applied thereto in addition to a carbon-containing combustion gas, such as propane and air, the prosthesis part or frame being passed through the flame from the burner in the forward third thereof, the burner flame cone having, in operation, a length (L) of between 15 to 20 cm, a gas stream speed of about 1 m/sec., and wherein the length (L) of the cone exceeds the spacing distance (D) of the farthest part of the prosthesis from the mouth of the burner by only up to about 25%. For fine adjustment of the cone, a tinting substance can be added to the flame.
