    摘要： In a complex, multi-processor software controlled system, such as proton beam therapy system (PBTS), it may be important to provide treatment configurable parameters that are easily modified by an authorized user to prepare the software controlled systems for various modes of operation. This particular invention relates to a configuration management system for the PBTS that utilizes a database to maintain data and configuration parameters and also to generate and distribute system control files that can be used by the PBTS for treatment delivery. The use of system control files reduces the adverse effects of single point failures in the database by allowing the PBTS to function independently from the database. The PBTS accesses the data, parameters, and control settings from the database through the system control files, which insures that the data and configuration parameters are accessible when and if single point failures occur with respect to the database.

The support element and the seal element are configured such that a pressure exerted on the seal lip by the liquid medium is transmittable in the radial direction to the support element, and the seal assembly also includes a further seal assembly on a side of the support element axially opposite the seal element, the further seal assembly including a first seal having a first seal body and a second seal having a second seal body.

    摘要： A cooling system for motor vehicle with a cooling circuit, which includes one or more internal combustion engines, a pump and a cooling device, is described herein. The cooling system includes a short circuit line, which bypasses the pump by connecting a pressure side of the pump to an intake side of the pump. The cooling system further includes a valve device in the region of the short circuit line, and the valve device is switched between two or more positions. When the valve is in the first position, the entire coolant flow is directed through the short circuit line. Further, when the valve is in the second position, the entire coolant flow is directed through the internal combustion engine and not through the short circuit line.

    摘要： A turbine rotor, e.g., for a drive turbine of a rotary atomizer, is disclosed having a rotatably supported turbine shaft with the potential for mounting an atomizer wheel, and having at least one drive turbine wheel having a plurality of turbine blades. The turbine blades of the drive turbine wheel may be impinged on during operation by a drive fluid in order to drive the turbine rotor. The drive turbine wheel may be designed for the drive fluid to axially impinge on the turbine blades. A complete drive turbine having such a turbine rotor is also disclosed, as well as a complete rotary atomizer and individual exemplary components of the drive turbine.
