摘要: An apparatus includes an internal and/or an external multiple-stage cooling device arranged coaxially with a drawing orifice of an extruder die and having multilevel tangential outlets for the coolant to stabilize a non-stabilized section of an expanded foil hose by spiral coolant streams. The internal device includes cooling units arranged at axial distances from each other, surrounding the foil section through a gap. Each cooling unit is connected to a coolant supply of selectively adjustable temperature. The external cooling device includes at least two cooling units arranged at an axial distance from each other, surrounding the foil section through a gap. Each cooling unit is provided with tangential inlets and is connected to a coolant supply to supply the coolant of selectively and individually adjustable temperature and/or volume and/or pressure.

摘要: Process for heat transfer between a solid object and a material layer, including the steps of: a) arranging a heat-discharging surface from a heat-receiving surface at a gap (R) for the flow (4); b) generating a speed difference between the surfaces by providing a relative movement thereof; c) increasing the speed (v1) of the flow (4) in the gap (R) compared to the speed of these surfaces (vH and/or vF) by the speed difference; d) maintaining a turbulent flow (4) in the gap (R) and carrying out the heat transfer by this flow (4). In the apparatus, the heat-receiving surface of the solid object (H) is formed on a structural part, e.g. rotor (2), which is relatively movably arranged in a housing (3) compared to the heat-discharging material layer (F). It is provided with a heat-removing unit and/or a heating unit.

摘要: The present invention relates to a jet pump having a first inlet duct, a second inlet duct and an outlet duct having an outlet end, wherein the ducts are in fluid communication with each other at a central volume portion. The jet pump also includes a sleeve formed with a closed end at the bottom and partially enclosing said outlet duct. The sleeve has a lateral opening therein at a predetermined height above the outlet end of said outlet duct. A continuous flowpath with different flow directions is also present within the sleeve along the inner and outer surfaces of said outlet duct towards the lateral opening. The jet pump can be advantageously used in fuel delivery system with saddle fuel tanks.

摘要: A smoke detector is disclosed having a radiation source operated in a pulsed mode. Externally of a direct radiation region of the radiation source there is arranged a radiation receiver which, in the presence of smoke or other particles emanating from a combustion process and located in the radiation region, is impinged by scattered radiation and delivers an output signal to an evaluation circuit. The evaluation circuit contains switching elements which, when the number of source output signals or pulses exceeds a predetermined threshold value for the number of source output pulses, delivers an alarm signal. Near to the radiation receiver there is arranged a reference cell in the direct radiation beam of the radiation source, this reference cell controlling the emission of radiation by the radiation source. Further, there is provided circuitry which, in the presence of a slow change in the amplitude of the receiver output pulse, adjusts an amplitude threshold value set for the amplitude of the receiver output pulse at a rate corresponding to a time-constant of more than one minute. Consequently, there is obtained an output signal of the radiation receiver which is dependent upon the smoke density and which is independent of the contamination or soiling of the smoke detector.
