摘要: A method for reducing network service scan time by a wireless communication device is provided. The method can include the wireless communication device determining a location of the wireless communication device. The method can further include the wireless communication devices selecting a subset of RATs supported by the wireless communication device based at least in part on the location of the wireless communication device and on deployment mapping information. The selected subset can include only one or more RATs indicated by the deployment mapping information to be deployed in the location of the wireless communication device. The method can further include the wireless communication device performing a service scan for at least one RAT included in the selected subset. Any RAT of the RATs supported by the wireless communication device that is not included in the selected subset can be excluded from the service scan.

摘要: This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to detect and operate in an elevator or elevator-like conditions. The wireless device may establish a cellular link with a cellular base station. One or more conditions associated with being in an elevator may be detected. The wireless device may determine to operate in an elevator mode based at least in part on detecting the one or more conditions associated with being in an elevator. The wireless device may operate in the elevator mode. One or more conditions associated with exiting an elevator may be detected. The wireless device may determine to operate in a normal mode based at least in part on detecting the one or more conditions associated with exiting an elevator. The wireless device may operate in the normal mode.

摘要: A device, system, and method adaptively adjusts uplink power transmission to component carriers in carrier aggregation. The method is performed at a user equipment configured with a carrier aggregation functionality including a primary component carrier (PCC) and a secondary component carrier (SCC), the UE using a first transmit power for an uplink transmission on the PCC and using a second transmit power for the uplink transmission on the SCC. The method includes determining whether a total transmit power including the first and second transmit powers for the uplink transmission exceeds a predetermined threshold. The method includes, when the total transmit power exceeds the predetermined threshold, adjusting the first transmit power based on a connectivity parameter for the PCC. The method includes adjusting the second transmit power based on the adjusting of the first transmit power.

摘要: Transitioning a UE from a first RAT to a third RAT in an area having a first RAT, a second RAT, and a third RAT. The first RAT may be a second generation RAT, the second RAT may be a third generation RAT, and the third RAT may be a fourth generation RAT. The network of the first RAT may not provide information (e.g., a neighbor list) for the third RAT. The UE may use information to perform measurement of one or more base stations of the third RAT without attaching to the second RAT. For example, the UE may use pre-stored information to perform measurement of the third RAT. Alternatively, or additionally, the UE may receive the information (e.g., from a system information block) from the second RAT without attaching to the second RAT. The UE may then transition to from the first RAT to the third RAT.
