The variable displacement compressor is connected between the condenser and the evaporator to form the refrigerating cycle, and includes a control valve designed to provide a control valve characteristic sloping downward with increase in a discharge pressure. The expansion valve is connected between the condenser and the evaporator, to return a refrigerant from the condenser through the evaporator to the variable displacement compressor, and designed to provide an open valve characteristic whose slope is approximately equal to the downward slope of the control valve characteristic.

    摘要: The invention relates to a receiver-drier for use in an air conditioning system. This receiver-drier has (a) a lower portion defining a lower chamber in the receiver-drier; (b) an upper portion defining an upper chamber in the receiver-drier; and (c) a strainer for removing foreign particles from the refrigerant. The lower portion has an inlet for allowing the refrigerant to flow into the lower chamber and an outlet for allowing the refrigerant to flow out of the lower chamber. Each of the inlet and the outlet is formed at a bottom of the lower portion. The upper chamber is on top of the lower chamber and is charged with a desiccant for removing moisture from the refrigerant. The strainer is disposed at a position in a flow of the refrigerant from the inlet to the outlet.

    摘要: A heat pump type air conditioning system (A) for air-conditioning a passenger compartment of an automotive vehicle. The air conditioning system comprises first and second units (10, 20). The first unit includes a heater core (12) and a first evaporator (13) while the second unit includes a second condenser (22) and a second evaporator (23). A compressor (2) and a first condenser (3) are disposed outside the first and second units which constitute a refrigeration cycle including the first evaporator (13). A circuit change-over valve (4) is provided to cause flow of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (2) to be changed over between a refrigeration operation refrigerant circuit including the first condenser and a heating operation refrigerant circuit including a bypass passage for allowing the refrigerant to flow bypassing the first condenser. A third evaporator (30) is disposed outside the first and second units (10, 20). A flow control valve (31) is provided to control a flow amount of the engine coolant circulating through the third evaporator (30) in accordance with a thermal load condition of the vehicle under control of an opening degree of the flow control valve, during the heating operation of the air conditioning system. The flow control valve (31) is set to take its fully closed state to prevent the engine coolant from circulating through the third evaporator (30) when a discharge pressure of the compressor (2) rises to a level not lower a first set value which is lower than a standard value to stop an operation of the compressor, and to take its fully opened state to allow the engine coolant to circulate through the third evaporator (30) when the discharge pressure of the compressor (2) lowers to a level not higher than a second set value which is lower than the first set value.

    摘要: An air conditioning system for a motor vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine has a first system for carrying out a first cycle, which includes a compressor driven by the engine, a main condenser, a first sub-condenser and an evaporator which are connected through pipes to form a first refrigerant circulation circuit through which a refrigerant flows from an outlet of the compressor to an inlet of the same while changing its phase, the first cycle causing the first sub-condenser as a heater and the evaporator as a cooler when operated. The air conditioning system has further a second system for carrying out a second cycle, which includes the compressor and a second sub-condenser which are connected through pipes to form a second refrigerant circulation circuit through which the refrigerant flows from the outlet of the compressor to the inlet of the same while changing its phase, the second cycle causing the second sub-condenser as a heater when operated. First and second independent air flow passages are defined. The first passage has the heater core, the first sub-condenser and the evaporator installed therein, and the second passage has the second sub-condenser installed therein. A sub-evaporator is arranged in the pipe extending from an outlet of the second sub-condenser to an inlet of the compressor. A cooling water circuit is arranged through which engine cooling water of the engine is fed to the sub-evaporator to carry out heat exchange between the engine cooling water and the refrigerant flowing in the pipe. A control device is arranged to control, when the second system is under operation, the flow of engine cooling water directed to the sub-evaporator in accordance with a load of the engine.

A control device (C) is operatively connected to the electromagnetic clutch (40) for controlling the electromagnetic clutch to be disengageable in accordance with a temperature within the air conditioning system (A).
