摘要: A sanitization system for an aircraft cabin may comprise: a cabin of an aircraft; a light system including a lighting unit configured to emit an electromagnetic radiation output between 300 and 430 nanometers (“nm”); an external reactive oxygen species (ROS) generator in fluid communication with the cabin, wherein the sanitization system is configured to disinfect a target area of the cabin by targeting the target area with the electromagnetic radiation output and the ROS.

摘要: A of using an ultraviolet (UV) light emitter is disclosed herein. The method includes measuring, by a processor, a first distance from the UV light emitter to a target surface, activating, by the processor, the UV light emitter, and recording, by the processor, a second distance from the UV light emitter to the target surface. The method further includes calculating, by the processor, an accumulated dose of UV light on the target surface based at least in part on the second distance and deactivating, by the processor, the UV light emitter in response to the accumulated dose reaching a target dose.

In various embodiments, the system includes a first passenger seat and a first occupancy indicator, the first occupancy indicator associated with the first passenger seat; a second passenger seat and a second occupancy indicator, the second occupancy indicator associated with the second passenger seat; and a processor connected to a communication link and to the first occupancy indicator and to the second occupancy indicator, the processor being configured to receive reservation data from a computing device having a seating reservation application engine installed thereon, the computing device configured for connection to the communication link and the seating reservation application engine configured to activate the first occupancy indicator or the second occupancy indicator.

摘要: A lighting unit may include a first light-emitting diode (“LED”), a second LED, and a third LED. The first LED may be configured to emit first electromagnetic radiation having a first wavelength of between about 600 nanometers (“nm”) and about 740 nm, the second LED may be configured to emit second electromagnetic radiation having a second wavelength of between about 500 nm and about 565 nm, and the third LED may be configured to emit third electromagnetic radiation having a third wavelength between about 315 nm and about 430 nm. Thus, the third electromagnetic radiation may be disinfecting UV-A radiation that is incorporated into a lighting unit that produces visible light.

摘要: A flexible LED lighting module includes a flexible housing and flexible PCB to which LED units are mounted. An encapsulant fills a channel of the flexible housing and has a same or similar optical refractive index value as is used in the LED unit to hold phosphorous particles used for coloring of the LED. Use of the encapsulant changes the color of the light ultimately emitted from the flexible LED lighting module, and this factor is corrected for in calibration processes associated with the flexible LED lighting module.

摘要: A wearable light assembly includes an opaque housing that is open towards the ground and is configured to reflect light emitted from a first light source downward onto a first location that is close to the wearer and reflect light from a second light source downward onto a second location on the ground that is farther away from the wearer than the first location. In an embodiment, the wearable light assembly senses motion of the wearer and switches between the first light source and the second light source depending on whether the wearer is moving slowly (in which case it activates the first light source) or moving quickly (in which case it activates the second light source).
