摘要: A method for calibrating a measurement signal and/or for tracking a quantitative variable comprises the measuring of an analyte which exists in a solution with a certain concentration and has predetermined decay kinetics and the generating of a continuous measurement signal having decay kinetics at least corresponding to those of the analyte. The decay kinetics of the measurement signal and the decay kinetics of the analyte are correlated using at least one predetermined calibration point of both decay curves. Subsequent concentration values of the analyte are then calculated from the measurement signal.

摘要: A device and method of producing dialysis liquid for extracorporeal blood treatment. The device includes a main line for supplying water. An acidic and a basic fluid are introduced in specific dosages. The dosages are set by a control and regulation unit as a function of a chemical and/or physical parameter of the water/fluid mixture. The chemical and/or physical parameter is detected by a measuring device arranged at a section of the main conduit situated downstream of the introduction points for the acidic fluid and for the basic fluid. The control and regulation unit controls introduction of the acidic fluid and basic fluid so that only one of the acidic and basic fluids is introduced into the main conduit over a predetermined period or a predetermined interval. Delivery and introduction of the basic fluid and acidic fluid take place alternately.

摘要: An extracorporeal blood treatment machine includes a dialyzer and a sensor device downstream of the dialyzer on a dialysis fluid side. The machine is connected to a control and computing unit configured to qualitatively and quantitatively determine at least one preferably selected or selectable blood component in the used dialysis fluid. The control and computing unit is adapted to put the machine into a mode in which a dialysis fluid amount is confined within the dialyzer at least until the concentrations of the blood component on the dialysis fluid side and on the blood side of the dialyzer are in equilibrium, and thereupon to switch the machine into a mode in which the dialysis fluid flow is permitted to leave the dialyzer to feed the confined dialysis fluid amount as a dialysis fluid bolus to the sensor device for determining the blood component concentration contained in the bolus.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for extracorporeal blood treatment, especially for hemodialysis, wherein blood of a patient is flushed with a dialysate in a dialyzer and wherein a variable correlated with the plasma sodium concentration of the blood is measured. The composition of the dialysate then is adjusted in response to the variable measured so that the plasma sodium concentration of the blood at least at the end of the blood treatment has the same value as at the beginning. For measuring the variable correlated with the plasma sodium concentration of the blood, for example a bypass operation can be implemented in which the dialysate is guided past the dialyzer so that a residual volume on the side of the used dialysate at least partially adopts the concentration of the substances dissolved on the blood side.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for determining a substance in a fluid excreted/extracted from the body or spent dialysate, e.g., for determining a quality measure for the dialysis, such as the concentration of selected toxic substances, and/or for determining a removed total quantity of uremic toxins during a dialysis with a dialysis apparatus. A concentration of a substance in the fluid may be determined by: detecting, by an absorption sensor, a first extinction signal of the fluid at an analysis wavelength at a defined first pH value of the fluid; adjusting, by a pH adjusting device, a second pH value of the fluid which differs from the first pH value; detecting, by the absorption sensor, a second extinction signal of the fluid at the analysis wavelength at the second pH value; and processing/comparing the two extinction signals for the first and the second pH values and determining an absolute concentration of the substance dissolved in the fluid.

摘要: A peristaltic pump includes a housing and a rotor that rotates about a rotor axis. The rotor has a rotor body and a pump. The housing has a cut-out in which the rotor is accommodated and a support surface extending about the rotor axis. The support surface supports a tube segment that is introducible between the rotor and support surface. The rotor has a first element for manually actuating the rotor and a first portion for applying a manual rotation actuation force. The first element is mounted on the rotor body and is movable relative to the rotor body between a first position, in which the first portion is spaced from the rotor axis by a first length, and a second position, in which the first portion is spaced from the rotor axis by a second length, the second length being greater than the first length.
