摘要: Provided is a chamber configuration for a reverse flow centrifuge, and a reverse flow centrifuge system configured for low fluid volume and small radius rotation. The compact reverse flow centrifuge system has a reusable subsystem and a single use replaceable subsystem. The replaceable subsystem comprises a separation chamber, fluid delivery manifold and rotational mounting connecting the separation chamber to the fluid manifold. The single use replaceable subsystem provides a closed environment for execution of reverse flow centrifugation processes. The separation chamber has a substantially conical fluid enclosure portion connected to a neck portion, and a dip tube extends centrally through the conical fluid enclosure to provide a fluid path to the tip of the conical fluid enclosure.

摘要: In draining liquid in an AV-coupling-type blood circuit, it is determined that the blood circuit is in an AV-coupled state. A blood purification apparatus can switch between an open state in which fluid can flow through a blood removal side circuit and a blood return side circuit and a closed state in which the fluid cannot flow therethrough. The apparatus generates a difference in pressure between the blood removal side circuit and the blood return side circuit by rotating a blood pump in the case of the closed state. The apparatus then determines whether the blood circuit is the closed circuit by switching to the open state and monitoring the difference in pressure from detecting pressure inside the blood circuit. The apparatus drains liquid remaining in the blood circuit to a predetermined drainage destination with the blood circuit forming the closed circuit.

摘要: A bearingless split tooth flux-reversal motor (FRM) for use with a pump, such as a centrifugal blood pump. In some embodiments, the motor has a magnet-free rotor and a magnetic configuration wherein the force generation is independent of the rotor angle, allowing for simple radial force generation using stator-fixed currents. The motor torque can be generated using commutated two-phase currents.

The extracorporeal blood filtering machine can include density sensors and flow sensors that enable it to be more accurate and to operate while being transported. The extracorporeal blood filtering machine can further include a user interface and can display fluid inflow/outflow information. A medical fluid container can automatically empty after being filled. An apparatus for supporting a medical fluid container can include a hanger and an attachment member with the apparatus able to adjust to ensure the medical fluid container remains properly oriented directly under a medical fluid container scale.

摘要: A tube connector is configured to connect between a main tube and a peristaltically-actuated tube. The tube connector includes a first connection part configured to be connected to the main tube; a second connection part configured to be connected to the peristaltically-actuated tube; a communication part being provided between the first connection part and the second connection part and having a communication flow path for communicating between a first flow path through which fluid flows in the first connection part and a second flow path through which the fluid flows in the second connection part; and a main body section. The first flow path and the second flow path are formed to have a constant diameter and are formed so as to extend along the axial direction of the main body section. A diameter of the first flow path is smaller than a diameter of the second flow path. The communication flow path is formed so as to gradually enlarge in diameter from a first flow path side to a second flow path side. A central axis of the first flow path and a central axis of the second flow path are shifted toward the radial direction of the main body section.

摘要: A blood flow pump device includes a centrifugal pump having a single ball-and-cup hybrid magnetic/blood immersed bearing-supported shrouded impeller driven by a magnetically coupled motor drive. The device further includes a housing, an impeller, and a shroud, thus forming a pump chamber. The impeller is a shrouded impeller having extended blades from a hub of the impeller and the shroud. The system and method employ a blood flow pump device having a housing with a blood inlet and a blood outlet, the housing defining a fluid pathway between the inlet and the outlet, and the housing containing an impeller comprising a base, a base lid, two blades, and a shroud, with the housing positioned on a motor. A controller communicates with the motor and controls rotational speed of the impeller in response to the blood flow through the blood outlet.

摘要: A blood processing system includes a collection line for carrying blood, a blood separation device for separating the blood into first and second fractions, a plasma delivery line for delivering the first blood fraction to an adsorption device, and a peristaltic pump. The adsorption device adsorbs plasma of the first blood fraction. Portions of the collection and plasma delivery lines are positioned in a channel of the peristaltic pump, and the peristaltic pump causes the blood to flow through the collection line at a first flow rate and causes the first blood fraction to flow through the plasma delivery line at a second flow rate that is less than the first flow rate. In some implementations, the collection and plasma delivery lines are tubes having different internal diameters facilitating such differential flow rates. In some implementations, the peristaltic pump is the only pump in the blood processing system.
