摘要: A method of calibrating a device for measuring the concentration of creatinine using one or more calibration solutions, the method comprising: receiving concentrations at an initial time of creatine, Cr, and/or creatinine, Crn, of the one or more calibration solutions; receiving outputs of the measuring device at the end time; calculating the concentration of Cr and/or Crn in the calibration solutions at an end time using a temperature model, wherein the temperature model indicates changes in temperature of the calibration solutions from the initial time to the end time; and determining a relationship between the outputs of the measuring device and the calculated concentrations of Cr and/or Crn.

摘要: Provided is a creatinine assay kit with desirable stability and capable of rapidly eliminating drug interference. The creatinine assay kits include a first reagent R1 and a second reagent R2. The first reagent R1 comprises a first buffer solution, creatinase, sarcosine oxidase, ascorbic acid oxidase, peroxidase or catalase, serum albumin, a first non-ionic surfactant, a first preservative, Trinder's reactant A, laccase, a metal salt, or a combination thereof. The second reagent R2 comprises a second buffer solution, serum albumin, creatininase, a second preservative, Trinder's reactant B, or a combination thereof. The creatinine assay kits eliminate or significantly reduce inaccurate creatinine determination due to negative deviation caused by serum samples containing calcium dobesilate and/or etamsylate.

摘要: An inexpensive test device compares and contrasts a plurality of pigmented tests for a biomarker, organism or other substance for a relative presence of each. Each biomarker is present in a urine sample, and the pigmented test renders a color shade indicative of a respective proportion or quantity. Collection of the pigmented test results in a series of transparent vials allowing a common line of sight through each vial to result in an appearance of a blended or combined color, similar to viewing color filters in line. A predetermined control group of color combinations provides a comparison for respective concentrations of each biomarker present in the sample. In one approach, a first pigmented test results in an orange-yellow shade and a second pigmented test results in a blue shade that, when viewed inline, appear as a green, brown or purple shade indicative of relative percentages denoted by each respective test.

摘要: The present invention relates to a single-use test-strip for the quantitative determination of sodium concentration and creatinine concentration and for the subsequent determination of their ratio, and to a non-invasive point-of-care (POC) device for detecting sodium depletion and/or sodium overload in a patient's body. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for simultaneously and quantitatively determining sodium concentration and creatinine concentration in a patient's urine sample and to a method of detecting sodium depletion and/or sodium overload in a patient's body.

摘要: Platforms for enzymatic assays for biomarkers, including systems, methods, and measuring devices by which a biomarker, such as creatinine, is measured using a small amount of biological fluid, such as blood, plasma, or serum. The measuring device or biosensor can be a test strip including a layered active component assembly positioned between two outer layers which enables multi-step enzymatic reactions operating in kinetic and/or endpoint (in which the reaction is allowed to near completion), and generally includes multiple layers with primary enzyme(s), coupling enzyme(s), and reagents to produce an optical signal correlated to the concentration of a biomarker in the sample. The test strip can be read using a portable optical reader coupled to a smart phone or tablet.

摘要: This disclosure relates to creatinine biosensors and the uses thereof. More specifically, this disclosure describes potentiometric creatinine sensors which utilizes one or both of a type of enzyme capable of directly producing ammonium ions (NH4+) as a consequence of coming into contact with a liquid sample and an internal fill solution with a low free ammonium ion concentration.
