摘要: A method for detecting occult hemorrhages is provided. The method includes obtaining a first hematocrit concentration prior to infusing a saline solution into a bloodstream of a patient. The method further includes infusing the saline solution into the bloodstream of the patient and obtaining a second hematocrit concentration after infusing the saline solution into the bloodstream. The method also includes determining a first absolute blood volume based on the first hematocrit concentration and the second hematocrit concentration. In addition, the method includes generating a notification indicating a potential occult hemorrhage based on the first absolute blood volume and a pre-defined absolute blood volume threshold, and providing the notification indicating the potential occult hemorrhage.

摘要: A method for collecting plasma includes determining the weight, height, and hematocrit of a donor, and calculating a donor plasma volume and a target plasma collection volume. The target plasma collection volume is based on the donor plasma volume and a target percentage of plasma. The method then withdraws blood from the donor through a line connected to a blood component separation device, and introduces anticoagulant into the withdrawn blood. The blood component separation device separates the blood into a plasma component and a second blood component, and the plasma component is collected from the blood component separation device and into a plasma collection container. The method may then calculate the volume of pure plasma collected within the plasma collection container, and continue processing/collecting until the calculated volume of pure plasma equals the target plasma collection volume.

摘要: A computing system for determining a systematic training strategy for the user is provided. The computing system includes a user device that uses one or more sensors to obtain partial pressure of oxygen (PO2) levels of a user over a period of time. The user device provides previous PO2 levels to a personalized erythropoiesis model generation computing platform. The computing platform obtains individualized user data for the user indicating or more previous hematocrit and/or hemoglobin measurements for the user. The computing platform determines an individualized erythropoiesis model for the user based on the one or more previous hematocrit and/or hemoglobin measurements and the previous PO2 information, and employs the individualized erythropoiesis model to determine predicted hematocrit and/or hemoglobin measurements. The computing platform performs one or more actions based on the one or more predicted hematocrit and/or hemoglobin measurements.

摘要: A blood treatment system with pressure sensors may be configured to control blood flow to and from the patient and use readings of the pressure sensors to determine a change in a pressure drop across a flow restriction in the blood circuit to estimate a condition of the machine or the patient, or outputting data responsive to the estimation. Further embodiments employ measurement of pressure drop to detect abnormal viscosity or viscosity variations in order to detect possible infection.

摘要: A drug administration controller has a sensor that generates a sensor signal to a physiological measurement device, which measures a physiological parameter in response. A control output responsive to the physiological parameter or a metric derived from the physiological parameter causes a drug administration device to affect a treatment of a person, such as by initiating, pausing, halting or adjusting a dosage of drugs administered to the person.

摘要: A method of collecting plasma includes receiving donor parameters at a controller of a plasma collection device electronically from a donor management system. The method includes storing a target volume for raw plasma which is based at least in part on donor height and weight used to calculate total donor blood volume, the target volume for raw plasma based on the total donor blood volume. The method includes setting the target volume for raw plasma and controlling the plasma collection device to operate draw and return phases to withdraw whole blood from a donor and separate the whole blood into the plasma product and a second blood component comprising red blood cells and to return the second blood component to the donor. The controller operates the draw and return phases until a volume of raw plasma in the collection container equals the target volume of raw plasma.

摘要: An implantable blood pump includes a control unit storing patient specific settings. The control unit is configured to store patient specific settings. The patient specific settings can be used to determine a target operating speed for the blood pump and/or a target operating mode for the blood pump. The patient specific settings can include at least one of an operating mode for the pump, a set speed for the pump, a lower speed limit for the pump, a patient hematocrit value, a patient hematocrit date, a patient blood density, and a periodic log rate for event and periodic data.

摘要: A fluid processing system for controlling fluid flow comprises a cassette having a defined passageway on a first side. The first side includes flexible sheeting disposed over the passageway. The system comprises a durable processing device configured to engage the first side of the cassette, the durable processing device comprising a valve actuator configured to engage the flexible sheeting at a valve location along the passageway. The system comprises a first pump configured to draw fluid away from the valve location along the passageway. The first pump is disposed downstream of the valve location. The system comprises a second pump configured to pump fluid towards the valve location along the defined passageway. The second pump is disposed upstream of the valve location. The first and second pumps are configured to operate in concert and configured to provide pressure to prevent collapsing of the flexible sheeting against the passageway during operation.
