    摘要: An image-bearing paper is provided which contains a bonding agent that is reticulated by ionizing rays, or bears a coating on at least one surface that contains a bonding agent reticulated by ionizing rays, whereby the bonding agent is predominantly formed of unsaturated substances, and reticulation takes place by means of ionizing rays in or on the paper, which is used as a support material for thermally developable photographic layers, or as an image-receiving material for thermally developed images produced by diffusion of the image-forming substance.

    摘要: Photographic base materials are described which contain on at least one side thereof a coating whose binder component is produced predominantly from unsaturated compounds and which has been hardened by means of energy supplying radiation. Discoloration in connection with wet developing is avoided by including within the coating material, before hardening thereof, at least one unsaturated monomeric, oligomeric or polymeric hydroxyfunctional substance and by maintaining the molal concentration of the hydroxyl groups at a value of at least 2. The coating material as defined in the invention is suited for use as a base for photographic layers which are developed wet, as well as for those which are developed dry.

    摘要: A method for making a support paper for a photographic emulsion having a smooth unmottled surface which comprises applying to the top side of a photographic base paper pigmented monomeric liquid, acrylic coating mixture, hardening the mixture by bombarding with a beam of electrons at room temperature and extruding a pigmented polyolefin film over the hardened mixture to serve as a barrier against migration of unpolymerized monomer into the emulsion. The hardened acrylic resin is preferably oxidized by corona treatment to facilitate adhesion of the polyolefin.

    摘要: Described is a photographic support material for black-and-white and color photographic emulsions, which support material is coated at least on one side with a layer containing a white pigment ad a binder component that predominantly includes unsaturated organic compounds and that is hardened by means of high energy radiation, while the white pigment, which is preferably a titanium oxide or titanium mixed oxide, carries an inorganic surface deposit which consists of oxides or hydrated oxides that make up at least about 2% by weight of the total pigment. The oxides and hydrated oxides include those of aluminum, silicon, zinc, magnesium, tin, zirconium, antimony or alkaline-earth metals.
