摘要: A diagnostic system for diagnosing faults in a trailer electrical system generally includes a mode determination module that determines a current operating mode to be one of a sleep mode, a normal mode, a situational awareness mode, and an adaptive calibration mode. A first mode module operates when the current operating mode is the normal mode and during operation, diagnoses an open circuit fault of the trailer electrical system based on a comparison of a current load on the trailer electrical system and an average load.

摘要: A trailer battery charge system for an electrical connection device between a vehicle and a trailer. The trailer battery charge system generally includes a first switching device that allows current to flow to an electrical terminal associated with a trailer battery of the trailer. A voltage sensor generates a voltage signal based on a voltage at the electrical terminal associated with the trailer battery. A control module controls the first switching device to charge the trailer battery based on the voltage signal.

摘要: A non-firing housing imitates a functioning receiver for an M249 machine gun. The non-firing housing includes one or more of a number of alterations as compared to a functioning M249 receiver. Such alterations include: providing a non-firing barrel support with substantial dimensional differences as compared to a standard M249 barrel support; providing a non-firing barrel support with additional structural features that prevent any bolt head (and particularly a standard M249 bolt head) from entering the battery position; providing right or left non-firing bolt rails with dimensional or structural or positional alterations as compared to standard right and left bolt rails for a standard M249; providing the non-firing housing with the absence of an ejection port; providing a non-firing right bolt rail with the absence of a hinge bore; and providing a non-firing left bolt rail with the absence of an ejector pin bore and back stop material.

摘要: A ferrule is designed to be laser welded to a fiber optic cable. The ferrule has an inner annular wall and an outer cylindrical surface. Sets of cavities are spaced along the inner annular wall of the ferrule. Each cavity is connected to the outer surface of the ferrule by an open passage. The inner annular wall of the ferrule leads to a narrow channel for receiving a length of exposed core of the cable. The inner annular wall is sized to snugly receive an outer covering of the cable. When a fiber optic cable end is inserted into the ferrule and the exposed core extends through the channel, lasers are directed through the passages and cavities to melt the outer covering of the fiber. The outer covering expands into the cavities and secures the cable within the ferrule when the lasers are removed and the covering cools. The cavities provide an increased bonding surface area.

摘要: A fiber optic coupling device that securely holds a ferrule of a fiber optic cable in alignment with an optical interface of a fiber optic transceiver (FOT) device. Included is a guide member that has one or more guide channels and which is inserted into a connector body. A ferrule residing in one of the guide channels is prevented from moving forward in the guide channel due to the guide member engaging a shoulder on the ferrule. Similarly, the ferrule is prevented from moving backwards in the guide channel due to the connector body engaging the shoulder of the ferrule.

摘要: Disclosed are various embodiments relating to verifying a printed work comprises a correct number of pages. Associated with a stack comprising one or more pages is an identifier that may be used to obtain an expected thickness of the pages in the stack. A sensor may then measure an actual thickness of the pages in the stack. Before binding the pages in the stack, the expected thickness of the stack may be compared to the actual thickness of the stack in order to verify the stack comprises the correct number of pages.

摘要: The present invention relates to an in vitro system for physiological and metabolic evaluation of substances for use in living beings. The system includes one or more cell culture chambers, each containing cells in a culture medium and a gas-liquid exchange device for contacting the culture medium with oxygen-containing gas so that the culture medium absorbs that gas and desorbs carbon dioxide-containing gas. The conduit system conducts culture medium between the gas-liquid exchange device and the cell culture chambers. A circulation mechanism is used to circulate culture medium through the conduit system, the cell culture chambers, and the gas-liquid exchange device. In use, the substance to be evaluated is added to the culture medium of the system and circulated through the system. The cells in each of the cell culture chambers are then evaluated for effects resulting from the presence of the substance.
