The method classifies frequency layers to be monitored and measured by an user equipment into normal- and reduced-performance groups. Several different embodiments are described. Where appropriate, the corresponding signaling design is also suggested. User equipment can adopt one or several of these embodiments, and can change configurations in a semi-static manner based on operating conditions.

    摘要: Systems and methods for prioritizing inter-frequency measurement are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) may be configured to communicatively couple to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB). The eNB may determine a priority for performing each of a plurality of inter-frequency measurement. The eNB may indicate the priority of each measurement to the UE. The eNB may transmit lists of higher priority and lower priority measurement objects. The lists may be separate and/or concatenated. Alternatively, or in addition, each measurement object may include a priority indicator, or the priority may be determined from the type of measurement object. In some embodiments, the eNB may provide indications of normal priority and low priority measurement objects and/or indications of normal priority and high priority measurement objects. The UE may perform measurements according to the indicated priorities.

Accordingly, the selection and/or reselection criteria may be biased to encourage the UE to select and/or reselect towards a dedicated eNB and/or an eNB coupled to a dedicated CN. The eNB and/or CN may be dedicated to supporting particular types of UEs, types of nodes, types of traffic, types of subscriptions, UE mobilities, applications/services, other predetermined categories, and/or the like.

    摘要: Systems and methods for configuring measurement gaps for dual connectivity are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) may be configured to communicatively couple to a plurality of Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node Bs (eNBs). For example, the UE may include a plurality of transceivers, and each transceiver may be coupled to a different cell group. A measurement gap may need to be configured for each transceiver. However, the transceivers may interfere with each other's measurement gaps. In an embodiment, a duration of a measurement gap may be increased over a default value to reduce the number of interruptions per measurement gap. Alternatively, or in addition, measurement gaps may begin and/or end at the same. The measurement gaps may have a same repetition period and be aligned each period. Or, the measurement gaps may have different repetition periods and may or may not align periodically.
