Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a battery module comprising a first battery unit and a second battery unit, each of which comprises N secondary batteries, N is an integer greater than or equal to 2, and each secondary battery comprises a first electrode lead and a second electrode lead having opposite polarities. The first electrode lead has a melting point higher than that of the second electrode lead, and N first electrode leads of the first battery unit and N second electrode leads of the second battery unit are arranged to form a layered construction. The battery module has a plurality of connection points distributed in the layered construction, the number of which is greater than or equal to N, and each connection point is adapted to electrically connect one first electrode lead of the first battery unit to at least one second electrode lead of the second battery unit.

Abstract: This application relates to a battery module, a battery pack, an apparatus, and a failure handling method. The battery module includes: a plurality of battery units configured to be serially-connected, where the plurality of battery units include a failed battery unit and at least one non-failed battery unit after the battery module fails; and a conductive part, electrically connected to the at least one non-failed battery unit, and configured to make a current bypass an electrode assembly of the failed battery unit so that the battery module resumes working. This application simplifies a maintenance process of the battery module, reduces maintenance cost, and improves working efficiency of the battery module.

Abstract: This application relates to a battery module, including a substrate, battery units, end plates, side plates and fastening pieces; the end plates are respectively located on two sides of the battery units in their stacking direction, adjacent to outermost ones of the battery units and extend along a length direction of the battery unit; an end of the end plate in the length direction is curled into a pipe and forms a curling pipe section, an axial direction of the curling pipe section is the same with a height direction of the battery unit; the fastening piece is inserted in the curling pipe section, extends in the curling pipe section toward the substrate and protrudes out of the curling pipe section, and are fixed on the substrate; by configuring curling pipe sections, fastening strength is improved, so as to realize reliable fixation of the battery module on the substrate.

Abstract: A shell includes an insulating layer provided at an outer surface of the shell and including a repair part formed of a curable material and having a shape of a mushroom. The repair part includes an upper part having a shape of a cover of the mushroom and a lower part having a shape of a stem of the mushroom. The lower part is embedded in the insulating layer, the upper part protrudes from the insulating layer, and a lower surface of the upper part covers at least a portion of an upper surface of the insulating layer. In a cross section of the repair part perpendicular to a surface of the insulating layer, a longest dimension of the upper part is greater than or equal to a sum of a width of the lower part and a creepage distance of a battery.

The battery module includes: battery cells, where each battery cell includes a housing, a top cover, and an electrode assembly, the housing is connected to the top cover, the housing includes a first accommodation cavity, the electrode assembly is located inside the first accommodation cavity, the top cover is provided with a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal, and the battery cells further include a failed battery cell; and a conductive component, connected to the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal of the failed battery cell. After being connected to the electrode terminals, the conductive component does not occupy space outside the failed battery cell, improving safety of the battery module.
