    摘要: A method and a device for controlling battery heating is disclosed. The method comprises: starting battery heating when conditions for starting battery heating are met; and stopping battery heating when conditions for stopping battery heating are met. The conditions for stopping battery heating include at least one of the following: (a) an absorbed energy Q of the battery reaching a predetermined energy QSET; (b) a time period Ti during which a discharging current I of the battery maintains constant (c) the discharging current I starting to decrease when a predetermined time period TSET is reached; and (d) a heating time period T reaching a predetermined maximum heating time period Tmax. The method and the device consider multiple conditions, for example, temperature, discharging current, battery State-of-Charge, heating time, etc. to determine when to stop battery heating, which may further enhance the operating efficiency and lifespan of the battery.

    摘要: A battery system for a vehicle capable of being driven by electric power is disclosed. The vehicle includes at least one motor/generator and a battery system for supplying electrical power to and receiving electrical power from the motor/generator. The battery system includes multiple battery packs, each comprising a plurality of cells. The plurality of cells in each battery pack are electrically connected with one another. Multiple battery pack housings are provided to house the plurality of cells. Each battery pack housing facilitates electrical connection to one or more other battery pack. The system also includes a compartment containing the multiple battery packs in their housings. The compartment facilitates electrical connection to the motor/generator.

    摘要: A type of winding assembly type lithium ion secondary power battery includes: winding assembly type electrode cores wound with positive electrodes, negative electrodes and a separation membrane, electrolyte, and a battery shell. Its characteristics are: the interior of the battery shell carries at least one electrode units formed by electrode holders holding many stacked electrode cores. The terminal leads of the current collector for all positive and negative electrode cores are led from the upper and lower ends of the electrode unit respectively. The positive and negative terminals on cover boards and the outer side of the cover boards are connected to terminal leads of the current collector by built-in fasteners. There is a separation ring between the electrode core body of the battery and the cover boards of the battery. The present invention simplifies the manufacturing technology, increases the energy density of the battery, the mechanical property and safety property of the battery, and has an excellent high discharge property.

    摘要: An electrochemical storage cell is disclosed that comprises a cathode sheet, an anode sheet, and a separator sheet between the cathode and anode sheets. A metal foil current collector extends from a longitudinal edge of the cathode sheet. A further metal foil current collector extends from a longitudinal edge of the anode sheet. The anode sheet, cathode sheet, and separator sheet are wound in a flattened coil shape to produce a core in which the metal foil current collector of the cathode sheet extends beyond the separator sheet at one end of the core and the metal current collector of the anode sheet extends beyond the separator sheet at an opposite end of the core. Overlying layers of the metal foil current collector of the cathode sheet are compressed together and placed in electrical communication with a positive terminal of the cell while overlying layers of the metal foil current collector of the anode sheet are compressed together and placed in electrical communication a negative terminal of the cell.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a heat dissipating device for a battery pack which comprises a heat pipe and a heat collecting plate comprising a bottom heat collecting plate and an upper heat collecting plate each having a hole therein, wherein two ends of the heat pipe are inserted respectively into the holes in the bottom heat collecting plate and the upper heat collecting plate. A battery using the heat dissipating device is also disclosed. During the operation of the heat dissipating device, since the heat generated by the cells can be collected in the upper heat collecting plate, then transmitted to the bottom heat collecting plate through the heat pipe, and finally dissipated outwardly by the bottom heat collecting plate, the heat generated by cells can be dissipated rapidly and efficiently.
