摘要: A battery charging system can include a first charger module having a first AC side couplable to an AC source and a first DC side couplable to a battery and first control circuitry that operates the first charger to charge or discharge the battery; and a second charger module having a second AC side couplable to the AC source and a second DC side couplable to the battery and second control circuitry that operates the second charger to generate heat, wherein: if the first charger module is charging the battery from the AC source, the second control circuitry operates the second charger to generate heat without delivering charging current to the battery; and if the second charger is discharging the battery to the AC source, the second control circuitry operates the second charger to generate heat without delivering current to the AC source.

摘要: The boost converter control device includes a plurality of boost converters connected in parallel to each other with respect to the secondary batteries, and an ECU (control unit) that controls each of the plurality of boost converters. When warm-up of the secondary battery is required, ECU performs a first control for adjusting the phases of the plurality of boost converters to be in phase with each other in response to the current value flowing through the secondary battery becoming larger than a predetermined threshold, and performs a second control for stopping the operation of a part of the plurality of boost converters in response to the current value flowing through the secondary battery becoming equal to or smaller than the predetermined threshold.

摘要: A device for thermal control of a battery system includes a heating control module configured to generate an alternating current (AC) heating current and heat the battery system to a desired temperature by applying the AC heating current to the battery system over a selected heating time duration. The heating control module is configured to monitor a rate of increase of a temperature of the battery system during the applying, during the heating time duration, perform a periodic impedance measurement, the periodic impedance measurement including application of a measurement signal having a selected frequency range to the battery system for a measurement period, a length of the measurement period select to minimize a difference between a desired rate of increase and the monitored rate of increase, and adjust the AC heating current during the applying based on the temperature and the impedance measurement.

摘要: A heating method traction battery. The traction battery is connected to a switch circuit of a motor and configured to supply power to the motor via the switch circuit. The switch circuit includes multiple legs and the multiple legs are connected to the traction battery in parallel. The method includes: receiving a heating signal sent by a battery management system of the traction battery; and controlling, according to the heating signal, at least one of the multiple legs to form a short-circuit loop of the traction battery, the short-circuit loop being configured to discharge the traction battery and heat the traction battery during the discharging process.

A battery pack is connected in series with a discharge circuit unit and a charge circuit unit; a battery management unit is to monitor a temperature of the battery pack, to periodically send, when the temperature of the battery pack is lower than a threshold, a turn-on-instruction to the discharge circuit unit and the charge circuit unit alternately to control the discharge circuit unit and the charge circuit unit to be alternately turned on in heating cycles; the discharge circuit unit is to be turned on according to the turn-on-instruction to enable electricity of the battery pack to flow into the energy storage unit in discharging-phase; and the charge circuit unit is to be turned on according to the turn-on-instruction to enable electricity of the energy storage unit to flow into the battery pack in charging-phase.

摘要: A vehicle including a traction battery pack, a conduit system, a sensor, an emitter, and a control system is provided. The conduit system may provide a path for coolant to enter and exit the pack and includes a conduit. The sensor may measure conditions of the pack and conduit system. The emitter may be arranged with the conduit to form a peristaltic pump. The control system may activate the pump based on sensor signals to adjust a conduit portion to influence a flow rate of the coolant flowing therethrough. The emitter may be an electromagnet to output a magnetic field. The emitter may be a voltage emitter or electric field emitter. The sensor may measure a flow rate of at least a portion of the conduit system or a temperature of the pack.
