摘要: A variable pressure reusable sensor has a first jaw having a first hinge and an emitter and an opposing second jaw having a second hinge and a detector. A pin is disposed through the first and second hinges so as to rotatably attach the first and second jaws. The jaws are adapted to attach to a tissue site so that the emitter transmits optical radiation into the tissue site and the detector receives optical radiation after absorption by the tissue site. A spring having a plurality of legs is disposed around the pin and configured so that the legs apply force to the jaws. A tensioner is disposed proximate at least one of the jaws and configured to variably position at least one of the legs so as to adjust pressure exerted by the jaws on the tissue site.

摘要: An embodiment of an ear sensor assembly comprises an emitter pad and a detector pad. A clip is configured to removably retain each of the pads. The clip has an open position for placement on an ear tissue site and a closed position for securing the pads to opposite sides of the site. The assembly includes a sensor connector adapted to electrically communicate with a host instrument. A sensor cable has a first end terminating at the pads and a second end terminating at the sensor connector and provides electrical communications between the pads and the connector. In one embodiment, one or more silicone lenses or removable adhesive tabs aid in relieving patient discomfort and pressure necrosis.

摘要: A device and a method for remote maintenance of an electronically controllable prosthesis (1) are provided. The prosthesis comprises a controller in which operating and/or movement data characterizing the prosthesis are detected and are then transmitted to a remote maintenance device (20) with a storage and evaluation unit (20). Remote maintenance of the prosthesis using the detected data is possible via a remotely located remote control unit (23) that can access the storage and evaluation unit via the telephone network. Corrected operational data are transmitted from the storage and evaluation unit (20) back to the controller of the prosthesis.

摘要: The contaminated soil is first treated by spreading a nutrient for aerobic microbial flora of the N/P type in oleophilic form, then by the addition of straw and of a hydrophilic nutrient of the N/P/K type which are buried by mechanical mixing. A biological process takes place which brings the hydrocarbon content below 500 mg/kg of soil after some months. The oleophilic nutrient N/P is preferably a microemulsion of a solution of N/P salts in a fat-soluble hydrocarbon solvent.

摘要: An actuator for a speed governor of an elevator system includes a governor wheel equipped with at least two flyweights. The governor wheel can be driven by a governor cable looped around it. An actuator wheel is stationary in a basic position. A coupler engages the actuator wheel when the governor wheel attains an actuation speed and thus couples with the governor wheel so that the actuator wheel is caused to rotate. An elastic material, preferably transmitting a high degree of friction, is provided between the coupler and the actuator wheel. The actuator wheel has a lining or tyre of the elastic material and/or the coupler is equipped with the elastic material.
