    摘要: A phototherapy bandage capable of providing radiation to a localized area of a patient for accelerating would healing and pain relief, photodynamic therapy, and for aesthetic applications. The phototherapy bandage may include a flexible light source that is continuous across the bandage for providing a selected light, such as a visible light, a near-infrared light, or other light, having substantially similar intensity across the bandage. The bandage may also be flexible and capable of being attached to a patient without interfering with the patient's daily routine. The phototherapy bandage may easily conform to the curves of a patient and may come in a variety of exterior shapes and sizes.

    摘要: A brake controller for a locomotive includes a train brake pipe, a locomotive brake pipe, a brake cylinder, a control valve being responsive to pressure in the train brake pipe to produce brake apply and brake release signals at an output, and a relay valve having first and second control inputs and having a source input and an exhaust input selectively connected to an output in response to the control inputs. The first control input is selectively connected to one of the output of the control valve and the locomotive brake pipe; and the second control input is selectively connected to the locomotive brake pipe when the control valve output is a release signal. A first electro-pneumatic valve is connected to the control valve which, when activated, causes the control valve to be a release signal. An electronic controller is connected to a first pressure transducer for the locomotive brake pipe, a lead/trail mode switch and the first electro-pneumatic valve and activates the electro-pneumatic valve for brake release pressures in the locomotive brake pipe when the mode switch is in the trail mode.

    摘要: Sulfur dioxide (SO.sub.2) is absorbed from waste gases by absorbing SO.sub.2 in an aqueous absorbent comprising soluble sulfite in an absorber; stripping the SO.sub.2 from the absorbent; absorbing the stripped SO.sub.2 in a separate absorbent for the SO.sub.2 ; and reacting the thus absorbed SO.sub.2 in a liquid Claus reactor forming sulfur. In a preferred embodiment, the gas from the stripping step is subjected to a condensation step in a heat exchanger boiler where steam ingoing to the stripper is generated.
