    摘要: A container cap dispensing apparatus includes a cover member and a base member. The cover member is disposed over a portion of the base member, and the base member is secured to a container. The cover member is secured to either the base member or the container to allow the cover member to rotate relative to the container. The cover member and base member cooperate to drive a plug of the base member axially away from a dispensing opening defined in the cover member in order to permit the discharge of contents from an attached container. The cover member is permitted to rotate relative to the container but is not displaced axially relative to the base member.

    摘要: A vehicle restraint system is provided, comprised of an easily installable and transportable base having a deployable vehicle retention means contained therein. In particular, a rigid base over which vehicles may drive is provided, having a deployable vehicle retention means, such as a net or flexible panel, disposed in the base. In addition, lockable rollers, deployable plates and tire puncturing devices are disposed in the base, to prevent or resist movement of the vehicle relative to the base. The base is merely laid upon a surface, and requires no mounting thereto. Upon impact with a vehicle, the vehicle is retained on the base, and the forward motion/inertia of the vehicle is depleted via frictional engagement (sliding) of the base over the mounting surface, wherein the base and vehicle come to a controlled stop within a short distance.

    摘要: An improved pressure vessel for a rechargeable metal oxide-hydrogen battery. The pressure vessel, which contains a plurality of cell modules, is composed of an inner liner of a material which is impervious to the passage of hydrogen gas and an outer layer of fiber reinforced thermosetting resin. The fibrous reinforcement is preferably in the form of substantially continuous, helically wound filaments. Dispersed within the resin matrix of the outer layer are a plurality of finely divided particles of a material having a high coefficient of thermal conductivity. The finely divided material can be in the form of powder or fibers, and can be composed of a metal or graphite. By incorporating the finely divided heat conductive particles in the resin, the heat dissipation through the pressure vessel is increased to thereby improve the performance of the battery.

A straight length of metal having a generally T-shape cross section is formed into circular configuration and the abutting ends of the strip are welded together to form a ring that includes a generally circular body portion and a flange or fin which projects radially outward from the body portion. The welded ring is expnded radially outward to precisely fit the open end of the shell of the vessel and the ring is then assembled with the open ends of the shell and head with the ends of the shell and head abutting the outwardly extending fin of the ring. The ends of the shell and head are then welded to the ring to complete the assembly.

    摘要: A transmission lever operated switch is incorporated in the electric control circuit for an electric clutch employed in the drive of a tractor mounted mower whereby the electric circuit is deenergized whenever the transmission control lever is placed in its reverse position. The control circuit for the electric clutch includes a seat operated switch whereby the electric circuit will be deenergized whenever the seat is unoccupied. The electric circuit further includes an on-off switch which is interconnected with an ignition circuit switch for an internal combustion engine whereby when the ignition switch is closed, the on-off switch for the electric clutch circuit will be open. Thus, during starting of the engine, the mower blade drive will be inoperative due to the deenergization of the electric clutch control circuit. The electrical interlock control prevents operation of the mower blade during starting of the engine, when the operator's seat is unoccupied and/or when the transmission control is in reverse.
