摘要:
A stainless steel bristled surgical brush for removing nucleus material from the intervertebral space and cartilage from vertebral endplates is provided herein. The surgical brush of the present invention may be dimensioned to be placed through a minimally invasive and/or percutaneous access through an access portal. In certain embodiments, the surgical brush may be straight or bent, may include a cap to contain the tines and may include a depth stop. The brush may be manually operated, powered by a wire driver or powered by other suitable means.
摘要:
A modular implant for performing an intervertebral fusion on adjacent vertebral bodies in a patient including a first spacer portion, a second spacer and a container having a first end and a second end, the first end of the container constructed to operably engage a first spacer and the second end of the container constructed to operably engage the second spacer.
摘要:
A system, device and method for performing a spinal interbody fusion is disclosed. The spinal fusion device may include a container that is placed in a prepared intervertebral cavity and then filled with a plurality of individual pieces or beads of PEEK or other biocompatible non-biologic material to provide mechanical support between the adjacent vertebra, and to distract the adjacent vertebrae and promote fusion.
摘要:
A composition for spinal disc repair comprising a plurality of uniformly shaped demineralized cancellous bone pieces ranging in size from about 2.0 mm to about 4.0 mm loaded into a porous mesh container with the cancellous bone pieces being treated so that they are not osteoinductive and are packed in the porous mesh container under compression forces.
摘要:
A container having a number of walls of cardboard, fiberboard, plastic or other relatively stiff sheet material, joined along corner edges is made collapsible by providing one or more accordion folds transverse to the corner edges. Each accordion fold includes parallel crease lines on a common side of the walls, an intermediate crease line on an opposite side of the walls, and diagonally opposed areas of locally weakened stiffness in the wall material adjacent each intersection of the intermediate crease with the corner edges, such that portions of each accordion fold tend to overlap at the corner edges to facilitate bellowing action of the accordion fold.

Disaster Recovery (DR) and High-Availability (HA) are a critical features required by many information technology systems. DR and HA may be accomplished with a remote secondary site that is kept synchronized with a primary site. To reduce the cost of maintaining a secondary site, the data may be split into two subsets wherein only a first subset of data is kept synchronized at the secondary site using a small bandwidth communication link. The second set of data, which is generally much larger, is periodically backed up at a network accessible back-up location. When a disaster occurs, the secondary site may access the most recent back-up of the second set of data. In a maintenance or limited failure situation, the secondary site can directly access the second data set at the primary site.
