Abstract: A light fixture includes a LED assembly and a housing. A lens assembly comprises a lens and a first end cap and a second end cap. The end caps are releasably connected to the housing such that the lens and the end caps are releasably mounted to the housing as a unit. The end caps may be releasably mounted to the housing by a deformable, resilient first engagement member that releasably engages a second engagement when the lens assembly is moved relative to the housing in a first direction. A force is created between the first engagement member and the second engagement member sufficient to hold the lens assembly in the housing and low enough that the lens assembly is removable from the housing by pulling the lens assembly in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: In one aspect, optic assemblies and waveguide fixtures comprising the same are described herein. In an exemplary embodiment, an optic assembly includes an optic housing, an optical insert positioned in the optic housing, and a waveguide optic positioned in the optical insert. The waveguide optic includes a light extraction face and at least two sets of light extraction elements provided on the light extraction face. The at least two sets of light extraction elements are disposed on opposing sides of an axis of symmetry for extracting a symmetric lighting distribution.

Abstract: A luminaire has a light emitting portion extending between first second end caps to define a length between the first end cap and the second end cap. The first end cap comprises a receptacle and the second end cap comprises a post both of which extend in an insertion direction. The receptacles are configured to closely receive the posts and the insertion direction is disposed transversely to the length. A method of assembling a luminaire assembly includes positioning a first end cap of a first luminaire over a second end cap of a second luminaire; moving the first end cap relative to the second end cap in the insertion direction; and inserting the post into the receptacle. An electrical connector on the first end cap may connect with a mating electrical connector on the second end cap to complete an electrical connection between the first luminaire and the second luminaire.

Abstract: A lighting fixture includes an LED light source that outputs light for general illumination in response to a drive signal, and a driver module configured to provide the drive signal in response to an intelligent lighting module (ILM) instruction. An ILM that is separate from the driver module is provided and has a first plurality of sensors, a first communication interface, a second communication interface, and first control circuitry. The control circuitry of the ILM is configured to communicate with at least one remote entity via the first communication interface as well as generate the ILM instruction for the driver module based on sensor data gathered from the first plurality of sensors, remote entities, or a combination thereof. The ILM instruction is provided to the driver module via the second communication interface and used by the driver module to control the drive signal for the LED array.
