    Abstract: A light fixture has a linear LED array and a lens having a first surface and a second surface that covers the LED array. The light being received at the first surface and emitted from the second surface. The lens includes a plurality of light shaping features on at least one of the first surface and the second surface where the plurality of light shaping features are configured to generate a directional light distribution pattern. The light pattern may be symmetric or asymmetric relative to a longitudinal axis of the light fixture. The lens may comprise a plurality of sections where the plurality of sections made of material having different optical properties.

    Abstract: A sensor module for a lighting fixture includes a light sensor and a sensor cover over the light sensor. The sensor cover includes a front surface and a light focusing surface opposite the front surface. The front surface is configured to face an area of interest that is generally illuminated by the lighting fixture. The light focusing surface is opposite the front surface and includes a number of lens sections, each of which is configured to focus light from a different portion of the area of interest toward the light sensor. By including a number of lens sections each focusing light from a different portion of the area of interest, a relatively large area of interest can be observed while maintaining desirable aesthetics of the sensor module.

The housing is coupled to the light source and includes an opening through which light from the light source is emitted to fill an illumination area. The lens is over the image sensor, and provides the image sensor a field of view that substantially corresponds with the illumination area. By tailoring the lens such that it provides the image sensor a field of view that substantially corresponds with the illumination area, the image sensor can collect information relevant to the lighting fixture.

    Abstract: A troffer light fixture has a housing with a LED assembly positioned in the housing. The LED assembly includes at least one LED array comprising LEDs of at least two different colors. The LED assembly includes a first LED array having a first LED on a first string and a second LED on a second string and a second LED array having a third LED on a third string and fourth LED on a fourth string. A wide lens covers the LED array. A reflector assembly has a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface reflecting light from the at least one LED array laterally across the width of the wide lens. Alternatively, the LED array may be approximately one-half the width of the wide lens and the reflector may be eliminated.

    Abstract: An LED bulb with a down-reflecting optic is disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention can provide for an omnidirectional intensity distribution in the vertical plane for a vertically oriented solid-state lamp. In example embodiments, an optically transmissive enclosure is installed on the driver base. A plurality of LEDs are mounted on a mounting surface of the driver base, and an optical arrangement is disposed at least partially in an optical path from the plurality of LEDs to a central area of the optically transmissive enclosure to down-reflect at least some light from the plurality of LEDs. The optical arrangement can include a TIR optic with a spline-driving surface to down-reflect the at least some light from the plurality of LEDs, or a substantially flat mirror. Either may include a central aperture, and the optical arrangement may include a diffuser or diffusive areas.
