摘要： An aftertreatment system includes a filtration and reduction unit. The filtration and reduction unit comprises a housing defining an internal volume. A filter is disposed in the internal volume and is configured to substantially remove particulates from the exhaust gas. A selective catalytic reduction system is disposed in the internal volume downstream of the filter and is configured to selectively reduce a portion of the exhaust gas. A first catalyst is formulated to oxidize at least a portion of the exhaust gas. An intake pipe is disposed upstream of the filtration and reduction unit and configured to communicate the exhaust gas to the filtration and reduction unit. The first catalyst is disposed in the intake pipe. An exhaust pipe is disposed downstream of the filtration and reduction unit.

摘要： A process for recovering performance of a component of an aftertreatment system. The component includes an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is positioned upstream relative to an exhaust gas flow through the aftertreatment system, and the outlet is positioned downstream relative to the exhaust gas flow through the aftertreatment system. The process includes removing the component from the aftertreatment system. The process also includes regenerating the component, such as subjecting the component to an acid wash and/or heat treating the component. The process further includes reinstalling the component into the aftertreatment system with the inlet positioned downstream relative to the exhaust gas flow through the aftertreatment system and the outlet positioned upstream relative to the exhaust gas flow through the aftertreatment system.

摘要： A particulate filter for use in an exhaust aftertreatment system includes a ceramic substrate and an ash layer deposited atop the ceramic substrate. The ash layer has a uniform ash density of at least 0.4 g/L of the ceramic substrate. A method of depositing ash layers in a particulate filter of an exhaust aftertreatment system includes providing a ceramic substrate, preconditioning the ceramic substrate, depositing at least one ash layer atop the ceramic substrate during the preconditioning, monitoring uptake of soot into the particulate filter by measuring an increase in pressure drop across the particulate filter.
