摘要: An engine control unit with distributed processing includes a main ECU and remote modules with sensor inputs and ignition and injector outputs. A bidirectional asynchronous CAN data bus and a square wave timing signal operatively connect the components. Synchronous ignition and ignition data and asynchronous sensor and control data are concurrently transmitted between components using CAN messaging. Synchronicity is accomplished using the timing signal. The rising edge of each pulse triggers dwell and injection start times, and the falling edge triggers ignition. Injection and dwell time values, the cylinders to dwell and fire, and the injectors to energize, are transmitted using CAN messaging. The remote modules process the control messages and timing signal and generate the appropriate ignition, injector, and pulse width modulation control signals. Alternatively, time stamp capabilities of the CAN bus topology are used for synchronization. The system and methodology simplify interconnection, using fewer wires and enhancing aesthetics.

摘要: A method and system are presented for monitoring a field of regard. At least a part of a field of regard is imaged by concurrently collecting a plurality of light components propagating from a plurality of zones, respectively, located within the field of regard, a combined collected light beam is produced, and corresponding data is generated being indicative of a combined image of the at least part of the field of regard formed by the collected light components. This image data indicative of the combined image data is processed and analyzed, and if existence of a certain condition or event is identified in the image data, a corresponding control signal is generated.

The multidirectional imaging unit is configured for collecting a plurality of electromagnetic (EM) radiation portions from a plurality of scenes, each scene being imaged with a respective FOV. The sensor is configured for receiving EM radiation and generating image data indicative thereof. The guiding optics is configured for receiving at least a part of the collected EM radiation portions and directing them onto the sensor unit.

摘要: A fuel injection system for small engines. A controller is provided to monitor manifold absolute pressure, engine RPM and engine oxygen levels. Fuel injector pulses are synchronized to minima in the manifold absolute pressure signal. The width of the pulses is varied depending upon the manifold absolute pressure, the engine RPM, and the oxygen level. In addition, a plurality of correction factors are available to adjust the pulse width depending on engine performance.
