The the site mount which is used to mount an optical sight attaches to the handgun by a tactical rail, 1913 picatinny rail, accessory rail, light rail, weaver style rail, or any other rail system. Since the holster is adapted to fit the sight mount, it thus can be used with many different makes and models of handguns.

The first interface communicates with a residential gateway via a wide area network and/or a local area network, and the residential gateway is coupled to a plurality of electronic devices. The second interface communicates directly with at least one of the plurality of electronic devices. The third interface communicates with one or more electronic devices of the plurality of electronic devices via the local area network. The processor is configured to selectively transmit a request via the second interface when the media player device is proximate to the first electronic device, via the third interface when the media player device is not proximate to the first electronic device and is within range of the local area network, and via the first interface when the media player device is outside the range.

A working memory may stores N respective timer values for N count-down timers, where N is an integer greater than one. An arithmetic and logic unit (ALU) may update each timer value in rotation every N cycles of a clock. A temporal interpolator may delay output data from the ALU by a selectable delay period of 1 to N cycles of the clock.
