Abstract: A battery charge control apparatus for a vehicle, where the vehicle is provided with a prime mover driven by using fuel stored in the vehicle, power generation means for converting energy generated by the prime mover using the fuel into electrical energy, and a secondary battery that stores the electrical energy generated by the power generation means. The apparatus includes temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of the battery, and battery-charge limiting means for limiting storing of the electrical energy generated by the power generation means into the battery when the temperature of the battery detected by the temperature detection means is low. This leads to enhancement of fuel usage efficiency of the engine.

Abstract: A contactless feeding pad includes a power-receiving side pad, a power-transmitting side pad, and an auxiliary pad. The power-transmitting side pad is different from the power-receiving side pad in size or shape and transmits electric power contactlessly to the power-receiving side pad while being situated oppositely to the power-receiving side pad. The auxiliary pad is installed between the power-transmitting side pad and the power-receiving side pad in close proximity to the power-transmitting side pad or the power-receiving side pad and forms a resonance circuit.

Abstract: In a coil position estimating apparatus, a past local-maximum position identifier identifies, from information indicative of how levels of first power received by a power receiving apparatus in the past change over time, at least one local maximum position along a road at which the received power became locally maximum in the past. A power-transmission coil position estimator estimates, based on the identified at least one local maximum position, at least one future local-maximum position as the position of the at least one power transmission coil. The at least one future local-maximum position corresponds to a level of second power to be received by the power receiving apparatus in a forward section of the road from the vehicle; the level of the second power is likely to become locally maximum.

Abstract: A vehicle control device for an in-motion power transfer system that wirelessly powers a vehicle during travel is provided, where the in-motion power transfer system is equipped with power transmitting coils installed to a road and a power receiving coil installed to the vehicle. Abstract: A contactless power supply system for transferring power without contact between a primary side coil and a secondary side coil is provided. In the contactless power supply system, a manipulation unit manipulates a secondary side converter so that power outputted to a load is controlled to be a command value. The manipulation unit manipulates an input voltage of a primary side resonance circuit so that a current flowing in the primary side resonance circuit equals a product of a current flowing in the secondary side resonance circuit and a current coefficient. The current coefficient is defined as a square root of a specific value and the specific value is an equivalent resistance of the secondary side resonance circuit divided by an equivalent resistance of the primary side resonance circuit.
