    Abstract: A contactless feeding pad includes a power-receiving side pad, a power-transmitting side pad, and an auxiliary pad.     Abstract: In a coil position estimating apparatus, a past local-maximum position identifier identifies, from information indicative of how levels of first power received by a power receiving apparatus in the past change over time, at least one local maximum position along a road at which the received power became locally maximum in the past. A power-transmission coil position estimator estimates, based on the identified at least one local maximum position, at least one future local-maximum position as the position of the at least one power transmission coil. The at least one future local-maximum position corresponds to a level of second power to be received by the power receiving apparatus in a forward section of the road from the vehicle; the level of the second power is likely to become locally maximum.

    Abstract: A vehicle control device for an in-motion power transfer system that wirelessly powers a vehicle during travel is provided, where the in-motion power transfer system is equipped with power transmitting coils installed to a road and a power receiving coil installed to the vehicle. The vehicle control device includes a travel route setting unit configured to use a HD map to set a travel route that includes information regarding a lateral travel position of the vehicle on the road. The travel route setting unit is configured to set the travel route of the vehicle so that the vehicle is in a powerable state where the power receiving coil faces any one of the power transmitting coils when the vehicle travels in a powerable section, which is a section of the road where the power transmitting coils are embedded.
