Abstract:
A movable core is movable relative to a needle main body of a needle. A stationary core is placed on an opposite side of the movable core, which is opposite from a valve seat. A spring is operable to urge the needle and the movable core toward the valve seat. A spring seat is shaped into a ring form and is placed on a radially outer side of the needle main body at the valve seat side of the movable core. The spring is placed between the movable core and the spring seat and is operable to urge the movable core toward the stationary core. A guide is placed on the valve seat side of the movable core in an inside of a housing. An inner wall of the guide is slidable relative to an outer wall of the spring seat to guide reciprocation of the needle.

A gap forming member has: a plate portion that is placed on an opposite side of a needle, which is opposite from a valve seat; and an extending portion that is formed to extend from the plate portion toward the valve seat, while an opposite end part of the extending portion, which is opposite from the plate portion, is contactable with a movable core. A first wall surface of the gap forming member, which is a wall surface opposed to an outer wall of the flange, is slidable relative to the outer wall of the flange, and a second wall surface of the gap forming member, which is a wall surface opposed to an inner wall of a stationary core, forms a radial gap, which is a gap in a radial direction, between the second wall surface and the inner wall of the stationary core.

Radially outer sections of the first peripheral part, the second peripheral part, the first support portion, and the second support portion are integrally welded with each other.
Abstract:
A suction filter which filters fuel inside a fuel tank of a vehicle to let a fuel pump draw filtered fuel into an inlet port includes a filter element disposed inside the fuel tank and filtering stored fuel stored in the fuel tank by allowing the stored fuel to pass through to an inner space, and a partition wall element disposed in a posture with which to divide the inner space to a first space where filtered fuel filtered at the filter element flows in and a second space where the inlet port into which the filtered fuel is drawn opens, and allowing the filtered fuel in the first space to pass through to the second space. The partition wall element is provided in a form of a partition film dividing the inner space to the first space on an upper side and the second space on a lower side.

An inside projection is formed in one piece with a second tubular member and projects in a tubular form toward a third tubular member, and an outside projection is formed in one piece with the third tubular member and projects in a tubular form toward the second tubular member, while an inner wall of the outside projection is engaged with an outer wall of the inside projection. Another inside projection is formed in one piece with the second tubular member and projects in a tubular form toward a first tubular member, and another outside projection is formed in one piece with the first tubular member and projects in a tubular form toward the second tubular member, while an inner wall of the outside projection is engaged with an outer wall of the inside projection.
Abstract:
Between a movable core chamber and a fuel supply passage, a needle guide slidably supports a needle fixed to a movable core. The needle guide has a communication hole which fluidly connects the movable core chamber and the fuel supply passage. An opening sectional area of the communication hole is defined in such a manner that a fuel discharged amount decreases as an energization start time of a coil is delayed. In a suction stroke, it is restricted that the movable core and the needle bounce toward the fixed core after the needle biases a suction valve toward a stopper by means of a biasing force of a second spring. A relationship between the energization start time of the coil and the fuel discharged amount is properly maintained, so that the fuel discharged amount of the high-pressure pump can be controlled correctly.
Abstract:
A valve member of a pressure relief valve has a shaft portion, a pressure receiving portion, and a guide portion, wherein the valve member is axially movable in a fuel return passage. When a forward end of the shaft portion is seated on a valve seta, the fuel return passage is closed, while the shaft portion is separated from the valve seat the fuel return passage is opened. A notched portion is formed at an outer wall of the guide portion to thereby form an outer-surface passage. A fuel inlet port is formed in the valve member for communicating a fuel inlet chamber to the fuel return passage at a downstream side of the valve member.

Abstract:
A housing-includes a pressurizing chamber. A plunger is moved to increase and decrease a volume of the pressurizing chamber, so that the plunger can pressurize the fuel in the pressurizing chamber. A fuel chamber forming portion is placed on a radially outer side of the plunger and forms a fuel chamber that is communicated with the pressurizing chamber. A pulsation damper is placed in an inside of the fuel chamber and is operable to reduce pressure pulsation of the fuel in the fuel chamber. Fixable portions are placed on a radially outer side of the plunger while each of the fixable portions includes a receiving through-hole. The fixable portions are fixed to an engine with bolts, which are provided to correspond with the receiving through-holes, respectively. The fuel chamber forming portion is displaced from axes of the receiving through-holes.
Abstract:
In a fuel injection valve, when a regulating unit provided in a needle abuts against a movable core, a gap is defined between a flange portion end face of a flange portion and a movable core first end face of the movable core. With the above configuration, when a coil develops a magnetic field, because the movable core abuts against a flange portion while accelerating in a valve-opening direction, a relatively large force is exerted on the needle in the valve-opening direction. The needle is further moved in the valve-opening direction by an urging force of a second spring after the movable core has abutted against the fixed core. With the above configuration, a lift quantity of the needle is longer than a distance by which the movable core moves until the movable core abuts against a fixed core abutting portion since the movable core abuts against the flange portion. As a result, the lift quantity of the needle can be increased without any increase in the electric power to be supplied to the coil.
