Abstract: A remote assistance apparatus records, in an assistance content recording unit, assistance contents for remote assistance for an autonomous driving vehicle in response to the autonomous driving vehicle stopping as a result of an occurrence of a traveling abnormality, and then resumes autonomous traveling as a result of remote assistance for the autonomous driving vehicle being provided by an operator. The assistance contents include an assistance location and operator instruction contents for remote assistance instructed by the operator. The remote assistance apparatus detects an autonomous driving vehicle that is expected to pass through a predetermined assistance location included in predetermined assistance contents recorded in the assistance content recording unit. The remote assistance apparatus determines an assistance method of the remote assistance for the autonomous driving vehicle that is detected by the assisted vehicle detecting unit, based on the predetermined assistance contents that are recorded in the assistance content recording unit.

Abstract: A wireless positioning terminal includes a wireless receiver receiving reception signals from a wireless transmitter via multiple communication links. A multi-link-base reception informational item is determined by evaluating reception signals via the communication links. The multi-link-base reception informational item, which has a value varying with a position of the wireless positioning terminal, varies with the position differently from an informational item of a reception signal via one of the communication links. A base trajectory is stored which represents correspondence relation about points between (i) a position of the wireless positioning terminal and (ii) the multi-link-base reception informational item. A measured trajectory is generated which represents correspondence relation about points between (i) a calculated position variation and (ii) the multi-link-base reception informational item. A current position of the wireless positioning terminal is estimated based on a matching between the base trajectory and the measured trajectory.

Abstract: A data collection system includes: a communication terminal in each vehicle having a storage processor storing specific sensing information in a storage device and a vehicle-side communication unit; and a data center including a data center-side communication unit and a data center-side storage. Abstract: A remote monitoring apparatus includes an assistance request receiving unit, an object information receiving unit, a determining unit, a past image receiving unit and an operator collaboration unit. The assistance request receiving unit receives an assistance request transmitted from an autonomous vehicle. The object information receiving unit requests, before the assistance request is sent to an operator, the autonomous vehicle to transmit object information and receives it from the autonomous vehicle. The determining unit determines, based on the object information, whether at least one past image is required. The past image receiving unit requests, upon determination by the determining unit that at least one past image is required, the autonomous vehicle to transmit the at least one past image and receives it from the autonomous vehicle. The operator collaboration unit sends the at least one past image along with the assistance request to the operator.
