Abstract:
A system and method for managing wireless devices in a wireless network that performs operation comprising: receiving a diagnostic request to analyze a problem associated with a wireless device operating in the wireless network; retrieving contextual information associated with the wireless device from a database of the wireless network; determining at least one solution for the problem associated with the wireless device based on the contextual information; transmitting the at least one solution; and receiving a confirmation that the problem has been resolved.
Abstract:
A system for managing wireless devices in a wireless network comprising: a processor; and a memory coupled with the processor, wherein the memory is configured to provide the processor with instructions which when executed cause the processor to: receive a diagnostic request to analyze a problem associated with a wireless device operating in the wireless network; retrieve diagnostic information associated with the wireless device from the wireless network; retrieve diagnostic information associated with the wireless device from the wireless device; determine at least one solution for the problem associated with the wireless device based on the retrieved diagnostic information from the wireless network and the wireless device; transmit the at least one solution; and receive a confirmation that the problem has been resolved.
Abstract:
A system, apparatus, and method are provided for connecting, configuring and testing wireless devices and applications. For example, one embodiment of wireless device for operation in a wireless network comprises a processor, a wireless module including a radio receiver and transmitter unit coupled to the processor, a graphical user interface (GUI) coupled to the processor, and a Connection Manager Module (CMM) including an Application Programming Interface (API) module, a Rules Engine Module, and a Rules Set Module, wherein the CMM manages a connection to a wireless network.
Abstract:
A system and method for managing wireless devices in a wireless network that performs operations comprising: receiving a request to determine at least one offer related to a quota for a wireless device from a charging gateway of the wireless network during a packet data session established between the wireless device and the wireless network; retrieving contextual information associated with the wireless device from a database of the wireless network; determining a plurality of offers including the at least one offer for the wireless device based on the contextual information; transmitting the plurality of offers to the wireless device; receiving a confirmation that the wireless device has selected the at least one offer from the wireless device; and transmitting the confirmation of the selection of the at least one offer to the charging gateway during the packet data session.

Abstract:
According to an aspect of the present invention, a chalk line holder has a housing, an operating mechanism on the housing, with a spool around which a supply of line can be wound and moveable relative to the housing about a first axis, and a brake assembly for the spool. The brake assembly has a ratchet element moveable with the spool about the first axis, a pawl moveable transversely to the first axis between a) an engaged position wherein the pawl engages the ratchet element to prevent movement of the spool in a first direction about the first axis and b) a disengaged position, a biasing element normally urging the pawl towards the engaged position, and an actuator to move the pawl towards the disengaged position against the urging of the biasing element.
Abstract:
A system and method using Differential Pulse Position Modulation (DPPM) to encode digital data so that it can be transmitted using an infrared (IR) link. The digital data is then decoded upon receipt. This invention can be implemented in software and run on an FPGA (or the like) for prototyping and integration with existing designs. The encoding, decoding and sensitive timing are handled by dedicated hardware, which greatly increases the speed of these processes because it frees up the processor to accomplish other tasks.

Abstract:
A mobile wireless device which operates in a wireless network is capable of: displaying a request for a user specified subscriber identification code on a GUI, receiving a single entry of the user specified subscriber identification code from the GUI, appending a code specifying a request for a type of activation and a request for data representing customer specific services to the subscriber identification code to form an activation code, transmitting the activation code to a control center wherein the transmission of the activation code results from the single entry of the user specified subscriber identification code into the GUI, receiving data representing customer specific services from the control center in response to the transmission of the activation code, and storing the received data representing the customer specific services in the memory.
Abstract:
An adjustable restraining device configured for use to restrain an individual. The restraining device allows for the distance separating restraints to be adjusted. The restraining device may include a pair of clamps separated by a maximum distance. The clamps may be attached to the wrists of the individual and a first set distance representing an allowable distance separating the clamps of the device may be adjusted, as desired. The device also includes a buckle assembly that allows for the shortening of the first set distance, when desired, but only allows the increasing of the first set distance upon actuation of the buckle.
