    摘要： Methods of developing equations for objectively assigning or predicting an apparent age are disclosed. Advantageously, the equations of objective apparent age may be based on a relatively small number of critical parameters combined in a way that accounts for all or most of the apparent skin aging in a defined population or sub-population. Despite the relatively small data collection requirements, the present invention includes an objective model of apparent age that is useful for evaluation of products, useful for predicting treatment outcomes and useful for predicting the effects of deteriorative factors. The formalization of an Objective Apparent Age Score allows one to identify the biophysical and biochemical parameters that mostly influence an individual's apparent age, and can be used to select specific anti-aging treatments with increased chances of visible success. The Objective Apparent Age Score may also be used to support marketing claims.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition for topical application to the skin afflicted with rosacea and treated with a retinoid. The composition for treating rosacea comprises an anti-irritating component and several other components for treating rosacea. The other components form a mixture of a salicylic acid, a phytosphingosine, green tea, hinokitiol, gorgonian extract, and polysaccharide. The invention also provides a method for decreasing the irritation on the skin caused by the heightened sensitivity experienced by skin suffering from rosacea. The other components are effective in treating the rosacea condition, but particularly, in treating the telangiectasic symptom of rosacea.

    摘要： The present invention relates to topical skin whitening compositions comprising a whitening effective amount of a black yeast-derived melanin-degrading enzyme extract and a method of preparing the compositions. The compositions provide a whitening effect by degrading melanin on the surface of the skin, the hair and the nails. The enzyme extract can be derived from Exophiala mansonii. The compositions containing the enzyme extract are more effective than are similar compositions containing kojic acid in producing a whitening effect on the skin.
