摘要: A system and method for controlling an engine control an EGR cooler bypass valve to divert at least a portion of EGR flow around an EGR cooler when operating under cooler fouling/plugging conditions, such as during idle, off-idle, exhaust system warm up and DPF regeneration or other post injection operation with EGR gas temperature below a corresponding threshold or with EGR low-temperature coolant temperature below a corresponding threshold. The system and method reduce exhaust gases passing through the EGR cooler that contain a high concentration of unburned or partially unburned fuel when the temperature in the EGR system is lower than the fuel condensation temperature.

摘要: Termination of regeneration of a particulate filter may be based on a variable percent threshold of stored particulate, where the percent threshold of stored particulate depends on a current soot burn rate. In one example approach, a method for controlling regeneration of a diesel particulate filter comprises: terminating regeneration based on a particulate burning rate; wherein the particulate burning rate is based on operating conditions of the diesel particulate filter; the operating conditions including an amount of stored particulate in the diesel particulate filter and a temperature of the diesel particulate filter.

摘要: Systems and methods for controlling regeneration of a diesel particulate filter in a vehicle engine exhaust include detecting a distance of an object from the exhaust and controlling a regeneration event if the distance is less than a threshold value. The system and method may include a particulate filter disposed in the exhaust of the vehicle and a proximity sensor disposed adjacent an exhaust opening and positioned to detect presence of an object near the opening. A controller in communication with the proximity sensor is adapted for controlling regeneration of the particulate filter in response to the proximity sensor detecting the object near the opening.

摘要: The invention is directed to a touch-sensitive paper shredder control system. The touching feature is implemented through a series of electronic circuits, taking input from a conductive touch panel on the shredder feed throat, processing the signal, and through a motor driving circuit, stopping the mechanical parts of the shredder. The system has a touch detection circuit unit, which contains a bioelectricity controlled switching circuit to sense the conductive touch panel. The bioelectricity controlled switching circuit is configured to trigger a ground switching circuit in the touch detection circuit unit which outputs to a multifunction control circuit unit. The control circuit unit then takes care of the remaining protection issues. The touching device for paper shredders protects humans and other living beings including pets from injuries through automatic and real time monitoring. The complete control process is both safe and sensitive.

摘要: A paper shredder with a thermo-regulated motor, a universal motor, and a method for cooling a motor. Paper shredder includes a shredder mechanical assembly and a thermo-regulated motor with motor stator core housing, coupled to the shredder mechanical assembly. Thermo-regulated motor includes conductive stay secured to housing. Conductive band and conductive stay act to dissipate motor heat. Thermoelectric cooler is coupled to the conductive band; and insulative stay is secured to the housing with a conductive band. Thermoelectric cooler continues to cool the housing after the motor is deenergized. A universal motor having conductive stays and insulative stays physically coupled to the housing; and one conductive band securing the insulative stays and conductive stays to the housing. The universal motor can include thermoelectric coolers. Also, a method for cooling a motor, which includes providing a conductive band and providing a conductive stay interposed between the conductive band and the housing.

摘要: Various systems and methods are described for controlling a diesel aftertreatment system coupled to an exhaust system of an engine which includes a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst and a diesel particulate filter (PF). In one example, a threshold amount of urea injected to the SCR catalyst is adjusted based on an amount of soot generated by the engine and the total amount of urea injected to the SCR catalyst is limited by the threshold. For example, when the amount of soot generated by the engine is below a first threshold amount, the threshold amount of urea injection is reduced. When the amount of soot generated by the engine is above a second threshold amount, which is greater than the first threshold amount, the threshold amount of urea injection is increased.
