摘要: A position light including a base that is configured to attach to an aircraft. The base having an extruded overlap baffle. A first LED is coupled to the base underneath the overlap baffle. A circuit card is also coupled to the base and is extended over the first LED toward the over flap baffle. A second LED coupled to a circuit card. The extended overlap baffle and the extended circuit card block visible light emitting from the first LED.

摘要: The present invention describes methods and apparatuses for the synthesis of 5-(chloromethyl)-2-furaldehyde (CMF) from saccharides in pure or crude form, the method comprising: (a) continuously contacting saccharides in pure or crude form, hydrochloric acid, and an organic solvent, by way of a continuous, biphasic-flow reactor assembly at a temperature from about 60 degrees C. to about 200 degrees C. and pressures from about 1 atmosphere to about 20 atmospheres, such that CMF is produced; (b) separating 5-(chloromethyl)-2-furaldehyde by liquid/liquid and solid/liquid phase separation; (c) producing at least five kilograms per day with at least 50% yield. Embodiments of the present invention can produce CMF in a continuous fashion, with high yield and without degradation of CMF to such side products as 5-(hydroxymethyl)furfural (HMF), 2-(2-hydroxyacetyl)furan (HAF) and levulinic acid (LA).

摘要: The present disclosure includes methods, devices, and systems for error detection/correction based memory management. One embodiment includes performing a read operation with respect to a particular group of memory cells of a memory device and, if the read operation results in an uncorrectable error, determining whether to retire the particular group of memory cells in response to a status of an indicator corresponding to the particular group of memory cells, wherein the status of the indicator indicates whether the particular group of memory cells has a previous uncorrectable error associated therewith.

摘要: A grappler for use in grasping and manipulating pipe segments for large diameter pipeline tie-ins has a first frame and a second frame movably secured thereto. A pair of grapple arms is pivotally mounted to each frame and is actuated between a open position and a closed position to engage and grasp the pipe segments. An actuator displaces the second frame relative to the first frame in a first degree of movement to displace one pair of grapple arms relative to the other pair of arms, and a support frame provides the grappler with two additional degrees of movement. When mounted to a backhoe or like device, the grappler facilitates safe retrieval of pipe from hazardous trenches, and provides handling and alignment of the pipe segments for easier and safer welding of the pipe joints.

摘要: The instant invention is a breathable sole structure for footwear. The footwear sole structure includes an insole, an outsole, and a functional membrane system. The insole has an area with a plurality of holes therethrough. The outsole has an area with a plurality of holes therethrough. The functional membrane system has a microporous hydrophilic membrane and a microporous hydrophobic membrane. The insole and the outsole are bonded to each other, so that the functional membrane system is sandwiched therebetween; and furthermore, the functional membrane system is juxtaposed to said areas.

摘要: A method for rehabilitating manholes and other sewer collection system structures begins by repairing existing leaks using hydraulic grout and cleaning the interior surface of the manhole by sandblasting or the like. A waterproofing stage is applied in multiple coats using a crystallization agent that integrates a crystalline structure with the underlying substrate. A chemical attack resistant calcium aluminate cement stage is then applied, and the waterproofing capabilities of the underlying coating are enhanced by the integration of the crystalline structure with the calcium aluminate cement stage. An epoxy coating is applied on the calcium aluminate cement to provide further chemical resistance and waterproofing while simultaneously providing a continuous, bridging barrier during self-repair of cracks in the underlying calcium aluminate by expanding crystallization by the crystallization agent.
