摘要: The present invention provides a method of producing oligomers of olefins, comprising reacting olefins with a catalyst under oligomerization conditions. The catalyst can be the product of the combination of a chromium compound and a pyridyl amine or a heteroaryl-amine compound. In particular embodiments, the catalyst compound can be used to trimerize or tetramerize ethylene to 1-hexene, 1-octene, or mixtures of 1-hexene and 1-octene.

摘要: This invention relates to a catalyst compound represented by the formula: wherein: M is a Group 3 to 12 transition metal; each Ra is, independently, a hydrogen, a hydrocarbyl group, a substituted hydrocarbyl group or halogen; each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R7, R8, R9, R10, and R11 is, independently a hydrogen, a hydrocarbyl group, a substituted hydrocarbyl group or halogen; R6 is hydrogen, a hydrocarbyl group, or a substituted hydrocarbyl group; x is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; and each Z is, independently, a group 15 atom. This invention also relates to catalyst systems comprising the above catalyst compound and a activator and the use of such catalyst systems to polymerize monomers, including olefin monomers.

摘要: An olefin polymerization catalyst system, comprising a catalyst represented by the general formula CrR4, wherein each R is independently a hydrocarbyl or substituted hydrocarbyl, with the proviso that R may not be a cyclopentadienyl group, an activator represented by the general formula, MQ2, where M is a Group II metal, where each Q is independently an alkyl, or substituted alkyl; and a support. The support may be organic or inorganic. Ethylene and one or more olefins may be polymerized by the catalyst system.

摘要: Catalyst compositions and methods useful in polymerization processes utilizing at least two metal compounds are disclosed. At least one of the metal compounds is a Group 15 containing metal compound and the other metal compound is preferably a bulky ligand metallocene-type catalyst. The invention also discloses a new polyolefin, generally polyethylene, particularly a multimodal polymer and more specifically, a bimodal polymer, and its use in various end-use applications such as film, molding and pipe. The Group 15 containing metal compound is represented in one embodiment by the formulae: wherein M is a Group 4, 5, or 6 metal; each X is independently a leaving group; y is 0 or 1; n is the oxidation state of M; m is the formal change of the ligand comprising the YZL or YZL′ groups; L is a Group 15 or 16 element; L′ is a Group 15 or 16 element or Group 14 containing group; Y is a Group 15 element; Z is a Group 15 element; and the other groups are as defined herein.
