    摘要： The present invention provides a compound having the formula: ##STR1## in which each R.sub.d is the same or different and each is --NH--Z--N(R.sub.a)(R.sub.b) or --N--�Z--N(R.sub.a)(R.sub.b)!.sub.2 in which Z is C.sub.2 -C.sub.14 alkylene or optionally substituted arylene, R.sub.a and R.sub.b are the same or different and each is C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl, or R.sub.a and R.sub.b, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are each attached, form a morpholino, piperidino or piperazino ring; each R.sub.c is the same or different and is NH.sub.2, NH(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl), N(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl).sub.2, N(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OH).sub.2, O--C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, ##STR2## alkali metal atom, ammonium or a cation formed from an amine; or a quaternized form thereof. The present invention also relates to a composition for the treatment of textiles, in particular to a composition containing the new ultra-violet absorbing agents; and to a method for the improvement of both the sun protection factor (UPF) and the whiteness of textile fiber material, comprising treating the material with the composition according to the present invention.

    摘要： The present invention provides compounds having the formula (1) in which each of the radicals R1, R2, R3 and R4, independently, represent hydrogen, hydroxy, halogen, C1-C20-alkyl, C1-C20-alkoxy, CN or COOR5, in which R5 is C1-C20-alkyl and Z represents a heterocyclic residue selected from the 2H-benzo[1,2-d]triazol-2-yl, 2H-naphtho[1,2-d]triazol-2-yl, benzimidazol-2-yl, benzoxazol-2-yl and benzofuran-2-yl moieties, optionally substituted by C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, halogen or NHCOC1-C4-alkyl, a process for their preparation, new intermediate benzoxazinones useful for their preparation and use of the compounds of formula (1) as UV-absorbers which have improved absorption spectrum characteristics, superior resistance to exposure to UV light and excellent thermal stability, relative to known triphenyltriazine compounds.

    摘要： There are described diquaternary ammonium compounds of the general formula: wherein R1 and R4 are each independently of the other C4-C16alkyl, phenyl or phenyl-C1-C10 alkyl, R2, R3, R5 and R6 are each independently of the others C1-C4alkyl, and A is a monovalent anion. The compounds exhibit a pronounced action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and also against yeast, molds and algae. They are accordingly suitable for the antimicrobial treatment of surfaces and for the preservation and disinfection of materials and cosmetic products, and especially also for the preparation of solid or liquid formulations and for the preservation of foodstuffs and drinks. The compounds are furthermore suitable for imparting antimicrobial properties to technical plant and for antimicrobial water treatment.
