摘要: The invention relates to a compressed sheet comprising at least one woven or non-woven fabric, said fabric comprising polymeric fibers, characterized in that the sheet has a bending modulus of at least 15 GPa when measured according to ASTM D790-07 in at least two directions and wherein one of said directions is the orientation direction of a first majority of the fibers contained by said fabric. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such compressed sheets and to articles comprising thereof.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for the manufacturing of a low shrinkage flexible sheet, said sheet comprising a fabric containing polyolefin fibers, said method comprising the steps of: a) depositing a molten plastomer layer on at least one surface of the woven fabric to form a sheet having a thickness approximately equal with the sum of the thicknesses of said molten plastomer layer and of said fabric; and b) impregnating said fabric with at least part of the molten plastomer layer by drawing the sheet into a gap between two calendaring rollers at a temperature of between the melting temperature of the plastomer and the melting temperature as determined by DSC of the polyolefin fibers, said gap having a width smaller than the thickness of the sheet; wherein the width of the gap is chosen to apply an impregnation pressure on the sheet of at least 20 bars.

摘要: A net is provided having a plurality of net members, the net members being arranged in a lattice structure and having a thickness (D1). The net is further provided with attachment devices having a thickness (D2) which are connected to the net members, the thickness (D2) of the attachment devices being larger that the thickness of the net members (D1) at least at the places of connection through which loads are transmitted between the net members and the attachment devices. The ratio between the thickness of the net members and the thickness of the attachment devices (D1/D2) is at least 1.15. The net is useful as a barrier net to secure an off-limits area and as a cargo net to restrain cargo movement on a platform of a pallet.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a multilayer material sheet comprising unidirectional high performance fibers, the process comprising the steps of positioning the fibers in a parallel fashion, consolidation of the fibers to obtain a monolayer, stacking at least two monolayers such that the fiber direction in one monolayer is at an angle α to the direction of the fibers in an adjacent monolayer and fixation whereby the stack of at least two monolayers is subjected to a pressure and temperature treatment for a duration of a least 2 seconds, followed by cooling the stack under pressure to a temperature of 120° C. or lower. The invention furthermore relates to the multilayer material sheet obtainable with the process according to the invention. This multilayer material sheet has a reduced uptake of liquids.
