The lithium secondary battery solves the problem of performance degradation caused by the use of an increased amount of a propane sultone-based compound required to form a SEI film on the surface of an anode upon the first charge cycle. Also, the lithium secondary battery can provide improved cycle characteristics and high-temperature storage characteristics.

The present invention relates to a multilayer polymer latex comprising a seed, a rubbery core surrounding the seed, and a shell surrounding the rubbery core, in which the seed comprises a vinyl unit, a hydrophilic unit and a crosslinker unit, as well as a preparation method thereof. The present invention can provide an acrylic polymer latex and a diene polymer latex, depending on materials constituting the core and the shell. In the present invention, the seed containing a vinyl unit, a hydrophilic unit and a crosslinker unit, and the rubbery core, are used for the preparation of the polymer latex. This can increase the rubber content of the polymer latex, thus improving the impact resistance of the polymer latex, and at the same time, reduce the viscosity of the polymer latex so as to improve the long-term workability of the polymer latex upon spray drying. Thus, polymer powder prepared from the polymer latex is excellent in not only impact resistance but also flow properties.

An apparatus and method for manufacturing ultra-fine particles using an electrospray device is disclosed. One or more capillary provided at its tip with a nozzle is positioned within a guide duct and precursors such as metal organic materials and metal halogen compounds, or nonvolatile substances or volatile substances are supplied to the capillary. Voltages are applied to the capillary and the guide duct, respectively, so that a voltage difference is generated therebetween and the highly charged liquid droplets from the capillary are sprayed. The sprayed liquid droplets are carried along the guide duct together with carrier gas injected into the guide duct. When heat energy is applied to the liquid droplets, chemical reactions of the liquid droplets occur. A collecting plate positioned in front of the guide duct collects ultra-fine particles formed by the chemical reactions.

The leakage current measurement apparatus automatically selects one of non-inductive shunt resistors of 10Ω, 100Ω, and 1000Ω and measures leakage currents of an outdoor isolation material for an ultra-high voltage. Additionally, the leakage current measurement apparatus is capable of measuring a relatively wide range of leakage currents with a relatively high precision, even at a remote location, as a measurement range is automatically adjusted within measurement ranges preset by a user when leakage currents of an outdoor isolation material change, and being protected against a surge possibly generated by an ultra-high voltage. Also, it can remotely measure in real-time leakage currents of an outdoor isolation material installed at a remote location over Ethernet.
