    摘要： A wet filter which will not foul washing facilities and plumbing systems, and which will not introduce harmful substances into the environment. The filtering element, which mayk be a resilient, open cell foam material or a woven fabric, is coated with a mixture of oil and a tackifying agent. The oil is preferably a vegetable oil, and the tackifying agent is preferably a dimer acid. The oil and acid are mixed in a volatile carrier, such as ninety-nine percent pure isopropyl alcohol. Preferred proportions are fifty percent dimer acid and ten percent vegetable oil, by volume. The filter is saturated in the mixture. The alcohol is permitted to evaporate, thereby leaving the foam filter thinly yet fully coated with oil and acid. The filter may be washed in water and detergent for renewal. Preferably, a biodegradable detergent mixed with an alkaline substance such as soda ash is employed in washing the filter. Although the tackified oil is water resistant, the disclosed detergent enables suitable dispersal when water washing. After washing, the filter may be treated with new oil and acid mixture, allowed to dry, and reused.

    摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for preventing warpage of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for the purpose of maintaining proper shape and alignment. A PCB is placed on a base of matching shape and slightly larger size. The PCB is secured to the base by a single fastener, preferably through approximately its center. Inwardly curving brackets are mounted along the outer edges of the base in such a way that their central portions rest on top of the PCB. The brackets are constructed of a solid yet flexible non-conducive material and are fastened to the base and, optionally, to each other. The PCB placed in between the base and the brackets is able to expand without warping significantly. This method is especially effective when used to maintain the shape and alignment of the PCB for an antenna.

The bag closure system includes a bag device having an opening, a first band positioned within a first lip of the opening, and a second band positioned within a second lip of the opening. The first band and second band are comprised of a resilient elongate material that audibly and tactilely indicate when the opening is opened or closed. The first band and the second band further provide for automatic closure of the opening to prevent loss of items within the bag device. The first band and the second band are preferably comprised of a resilient material having an arcuate cross section providing rigidity to the bands when in a straight condition.

The sleeve cooperates with the hook to protect the load at the location of the hook, as well as to hinder disengagement of the hook relative to the rack bar. In one embodiment, the hook includes a reentrant end which passes through an eyelet at a rack cross bar, which reentrant end can be encompassed by the sleeve. In another embodiment, the sleeve acts to maintain clasp pieces about a rack cross bar.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a tire carrier for an automotive vehicle and, more particularly, to a hitch mounted tire carrier. The invention includes a cantilever construction having the combination of an elongated arm having the tire mount structure, and a bracket for the arm connectable, for example, to a tow hitch of a vehicle. The arm is movable relative to the bracket between the transportation position and in inactive position, and a cinch is provided on the bracket for normally maintaining the arm in the transportation position but releasing the same for movement to the inactive position. The cinch has a lever latch which, in keeping with the invention, is manipulatable of the cinch to an over-center position. A tightener is provided as a protuberance on the lever latch which is mounted for pivoting to a stop position beyond a center position at which it would be generally orthogonal to a bearing surface it engages. The combination also preferably includes a coupler having a drawbar and a tightener designed to maintain intimate contact between a surface of the drawbar and a surface of the tow hitch irrespective of vehicle movement.
