摘要: A compound having a four-coordinate boron atom to which is connected a first C3-C25 substituent, a second C3-C25 substituent and a bridging substituent comprising from eight to forty non-hydrogen atoms and having two bonds to the boron atom;wherein: (i) each of the first and second C3-C25 substituents is bonded to the boron atom through a carbon, nitrogen or oxygen atom, and, optionally the first and second C3-C25 substituents are connected to form a single substituent having two bonds to the boron atom; (ii) at least one of the first and second C3-C25 substituents is a C6-C25 aromatic substituent; (iii) said aromatic substituent comprises at least one nitrogen atom which is bonded only to carbon or boron atoms; and (iv) the bridging substituent has at least one oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur or phosphorus atom bonded to the boron atom and at least one aromatic ring.

摘要: Acoustic wave sensors comprise: a piezoelectric layer, first and second electrodes arranged with the piezoelectric layer in a piezoelectric transducer circuit; and a polymeric sensing layer for adsorbing a gas-phase analyte, the adsorption of which analyte causes a change in resonant frequency of the piezoelectric transducer circuit, wherein the polymeric sensing layer comprises: (a) a polymer chosen from substituted or unsubstituted: polyarylenes comprising the reaction product of monomers comprising a first monomer comprising an aromatic acetylene group and a second monomer comprising a cyclopentadienone group; polyamides; polypyrazoles; or novolacs; or a cured product thereof; (b) a polymer chosen from substituted or unsubstituted: polyamic acids; or polyamic acid-polyimide copolymers; (c) a polymer formed from one or more monomers comprising a monomer comprising a polar group-substituted arylcyclobutene group, or a cured product thereof; or (d) a polymer comprising polymerized units of a monomer chosen from substituted or unsubstituted: maleimides; or norbomenes; or a cured product thereof. The acoustic wave sensors and methods of using such sensors find particular applicability in the sensing of gas-phase analytes.

摘要: Acid generator compounds are provided that are particularly useful as a photoresist composition component. Acid generator compounds of the invention comprise 1) a cyclic sulfonium salt and 2) a covalently linked photoacid-labile group. In one aspect, thioxanthone acid generator compounds are particularly preferred, including acid generator compounds that comprise (i) a thioxanthone moiety; and (ii) one or more covalently linked acid labile-groups.

摘要: A compound having a tricyclic nucleus and having formula (I) wherein Ar is C3-C25 aryl in which at least one aromatic ring atom is nitrogen; X is O, S or CR9R10; R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 independently are hydrogen, deuterium, C1-C12 alkyl, C4-C12 aryl or C2-C12 alkenyl; R7 and R8 independently are hydrogen, deuterium, C1-C12 alkyl, C4-C12 aryl or C2-C12 alkenyl or R7 and R8 groups attached to a nitrogen atom are joined by a single bond, O, S or CR11R12 to form a single nitrogen-containing substituent; R9 and R10 independently are hydrogen, deuterium, C1-C12 alkyl, C4-C12 aryl or C2-C12 alkenyl; and R11 and R12 independently are hydrogen, deuterium, C1-C12 alkyl, C4-C12 aryl or C2-C12 alkenyl; provided that Ar does not contain an aromatic ring attached to the tricyclic nucleus which contains more than two aromatic ring nitrogen atoms.
