    摘要: The panel has several sections, each with a different hole profile. The top panel section has a hole diameter which corresponds to the terminal flange in such a way that the top panel section contacts the terminal flange, holding the terminal with frictional gripping force. This contact keeps the terminal from wobbling, thus eliminating the weakening of the terminal support legs and shorting between terminals. The panel section between the top and rear panel sections (i.e. the middle section) has a hole diameter which corresponds to the outer diameter of the terminal between the terminal flange and the terminal support legs, so that the terminal can be press fitted in the middle section hole. The rear panel section has a hole diameter which is conical or profiled with a larger diameter towards the top panel section, corresponding to the width of the support legs in such a way that the support legs can be fully sprung out, and a smaller diameter towards the rear of the mass termination panel. A modified tool bit, for use in an industry standard impact tool, undercut far enough so that it does not bottom on the terminal, is used for terminating wires on the terminals. The tool stops against the raised top or rear panel surfaces, eliminating the direct hammering on the terminal by the impact tool.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for handling the connection/disconnection transition period of a printed circuit board to an actively empowered backplane which eliminates damaging surge currents and glitches by the use of temporarily functioning field effect transistor circuits which gradiently handle the current loads during the transition period. A set of specifically sized and predetermined lengths of connecting pins on the backplane insures that a programmed sequence of power connection and/or disconnection will occur which permits a group of field effect transistors to gradiently carry the changing current loads that occur during the insertion of the printed circuit board into the backplane. Likewise, during extraction of the printed circuit board from the backplane, the group of FETs (Field Effect Transistors) will carry and buffer the changing current loads from de-stabilizing the power supply source unit.

    摘要: A communication jackfield having a face plate, a plurality of jacks and a designation plate. The designation plate is of a generally elongate flat shape, and has a plurality of jack barrel access holes, for allowing a front end of each of the jack barrels to protrude into respective jack barrel access hole, when jacks are mounted onto the face plate. The designation plate further has a first strip holder and a second strip holder, each strip holder having a longitudinal lower flange and a longitudinal upper flange arranged to securely hold a strip of information marking material. The designation plate covers substantially all of a front side of the face plate, and further has jack screw access holes arranged in conjunction with each jack barrel access hole. The designation plate front portion is generally in a same plane as an outer edge of the longitudinal upper and lower flanges, thereby allowing the strip holders to extend from an edge of the designation plate to the jack barrel access holes, to provide holding for extra wide strips.

    摘要: A system and method is disclosed for generating, propagating, and detecting light pulses for use with a fiber optic transducer array. The system preferably uses two pulses to provide fixed and relatively short interferometer path differences to thereby reduce coherent light noise. The system preferably uses a surface acoustic wave device for chirping the light pulses to thereby spread noise over a wider bandwidth so as to suppress noise. A coherent light source is preferably amplitude modulated to produce an initial pulse. In one embodiment, that initial pulse is chirped and split into two pulses. One of the two pulses is delayed while the other is frequency shifted. The two pulses are combined onto a single fiber optic path and applied to the fiber optic transducer array. After being acted on by the fiber optic transducer array, the two pulses are photodetected and processed to obtain the information about the physical phenomena to be detected.

    摘要: A magnetic heading sensor alignment and roll reducing device is provided. Aenerally cylindrical assembly has a first end and a second end. Each end has a plurality of grooves located equiangularly on a circle with the center thereof located at the cylindrical assembly's center longitudinal axis. Bearings, positioned at and supported by the first and second ends, support a magnetic heading sensor at either end thereof. The bearings provide the sensor with rotational freedom about the center longitudinal axis. A counterweight is affixed to the sensor such that its center of gravity and the sensor's center of gravity are located at a common axial loci. A plurality of longitudinal spring strips are provided to fit into corresponding ones of the grooves on the first and second ends of the cylindrical assembly. The spring strips cooperate with the inner surface of a tubular housing when the device is inserted therein. All materials used to construct the device are non-magnetic.
