    摘要： There is disclosed a polyamide adhesive for bonding fabrics, particularly fusible interliners for fabrics, which are cleanable by laundering and/or dry cleaning. The polyamide adhesive is a terpolyamide of caprolactam and hexamethylene diamine with a mixture of polymeric fat acids and an aliphatic co-dicarboxylic acid having 20-22 carbon atoms.

    摘要： Alkoxylated polyester polyols useful in the manufacture of polyurethanes are disclosed. For example, 9(10)-methylhydroxymethyloctadecanoate can be reacted with bishydroxymethyltricyclodecane to prepare a polyester polyol which can be ethoxylated to prepare an alkoxylated polyester polyol. The resulting polyester polyol can be reacted with a diisocyanate, such as a modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate, to prepare a urethane elastomer.

    摘要： Fatty, segmented polyester elastomers are provided which are prepared from a mixture having a molar ratio of aromatic to fatty reactants of less than 4:1 and a molar ratio of short-chain diol to long-chain poly(ether) diol reactants of less than 49:1. These elastomers are useful as hot melt adhesives having excellent properties including resistance to embrittlement at low temperatures.

    摘要： Polyamide resins are disclosed of polymeric fat acids or certain dicarboxylic acids derived from a fatty acid and a bis(aminomethyl)tricyclodecane. Copolymerized acids or diamine or amino acids may be present. Because of the greater rigidity of some of the resins in addition to the other desirable properties of the polymeric fat acid polyamides, more application areas are opened such as the injection molded or extruded structural parts and components in addition to their utility as adhesives.

    摘要： An embedment compound for a paintbrush or the like, together with a paintbrush construction and method of manufacture embodying the improved embedment compound. The embedment compound is a polyurethane composition having a crosslink density sufficient to render such compound acceptably resistant to all paint solvents.For example, a typical embodiment composition comprises a blend of Mondur MR with a prepolymer prepared from Pluracol TP-440 and Isonate 143L, and the blend cured at 100.degree. C. overnight.
