摘要: The present invention provides methods, devices, and systems for analyzing defects in an object such as a semiconductor wafer. In one embodiment, it provides a method of characterizing defects in semiconductor wafers during fabrication in a semiconductor fabrication facility. This method comprises the following actions. The semiconductor wafers are inspected to locate defects. Locations corresponding to the located defects are then stored in a defect file. A dual charged-particle beam system is automatically navigated to the vicinity defect location using information from the defect file. The defect is automatically identified and a charged particle beam image of the defect is then obtained. The charged particle beam image is then analyzed to characterize the defect. A recipe is then determined for further analysis of the defect. The recipe is then automatically executed to cut a portion of the defect using a charged particle beam. The position of the cut is based upon the analysis of the charged particle beam image. Ultimately, a surface exposed by the charged particle beam cut is imaged to obtain additional information about the defect.

摘要: This invention relates to a limited range low voltage testing, regulating, and indicating device comprising a detector and low voltage measurer of magnitude in a switch-regulated power supply circuit wherein indicator LEDs are operated directly from a power supply wherein continually increasing current draw provided by shunt switching operates to cause the first display LEDs to “fade” in an overlapping pattern of activation, in and out with slight voltage changes. Increased voltage causes a second LED to turn on. Further increased voltage causes the second LED to turn off and a third LED to turn on. Shunt and series connected voltage regulators selectively exert control over the LEDs.

摘要: Defects in optical fibers are detected during manufacturing by using three bandpass filters to separate signals from a scattered light signal produced by a light source in a fiber measurement system. The separated signals include a clad diameter signal, a regular airline signal and a core airline signal. The regular airline signal is compared with the clad diameter signal to produce a normalized regular airline signal, and the core airline signal is compared with the clad diameter signal to produce a normalized core airline signal. The normalized regular airline signal and normalized core airline signal are monitored to determine if they increase, which indicates the presence of a defect in the optical fiber.

摘要: The instant invention relates to a solid state low voltage power supply controller which reduces a conventional 120 volt AC power source to 12 volt pulsating DC for the purpose of operating a single “point of use” light source wherein the low voltage power supply is in proximate location to the light source. A pulse width modulator integrated circuit operating in conjunction with a field effect transistor induces energy in the secondary of a step-down transformer to provide a reduced pulsating DC current to a lamp load. A feedback voltage from the secondary winding of the stepdown transformer operates to set the gain of internal circuitry of the integrated circuitry to provide a predetermined constant pulsating DC voltage and a predetermined limited range of power wattage. A feedback voltage operates to reduce current drawn by overcurrent demands on the primary of the transformer.

摘要: A combined warhead arming and drive motor ignition device for a self-propelled missile having a warhead and a drive motor comprises a first acceleration responsive means (1, 2, 3, 4) to provide an output when the missile achieves a first acceleration, a timer initiated by the output from the first acceleration responsive means and providing a first output (i) after expiry of a first period and before expiry of a second period and a second output (v) after expiry of a third period, and a speed responsive means (5, 6) to provide a speed output (ii) when the missile has attained a predetermined speed and also to provide a first distance indication output (vi) when the missile has travelled a first distance but has not yet travelled a second distance and a second distance indication (vi) output when the missile has travelled a third distance. The device also includes gating means to provide an output in response to the receipt of all of the first output (i) from the timer, the speed output (ii) and the first distance indication output of the speed responsive means, ignition means to ignite the drive motor in response to the output of the gating means, and second acceleration responsive means (12, 13) which are enabled by the second output (vi) of the timing means and by the second distance indication output (vi) of the speed responsive means and which, when subjected to a predetermined acceleration consistent with successful ignition of the drive motor, enables arming and firing of the warhead.
