Abstract: A helmet with an airbag assembly coupled to the shell of the helmet. The airbag assembly includes an airbag and an inflation device. The inflation device is configured to at least partially inflate the airbag upon deployment of the airbag assembly. The helmet also includes a processing circuit disposed at least partially within the shell. The processing circuit is configured to receive helmet data regarding a second helmet, transmit deployment data regarding inflation of the airbag assembly, and control operation of the inflation device to inflate the airbag based on the helmet data.

Abstract: A sensing and warning system includes a sensor configured to generate data regarding at least one of a user or an object, a warning device configured to be positioned on the user, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to receive the data from the sensor, determine a command based on the data, and transmit the command to the warning device prior to an impact between the user and the object. The warning device is configured to implement the command to provide a warning to the user in an attempt to (i) prevent the impact or (ii) reduce a magnitude of the impact between the user and the object.

Abstract: A penalty allocation system includes a first equipment, a second equipment, and a processing circuit. The first equipment is configured to be worn by a first player. The first equipment includes a signal-carrying material configured to carry a signal. The second equipment is configured to be worn by a second player. The second equipment includes a sensor configured to acquire signal data from the signal in response to the sensor of the second equipment directly engaging the signal-carrying material during an impact between the first equipment and the second equipment. The processing circuit is configured to determine at least one of a penalty and a reward for a recipient regarding the impact between the first player and the second player based on the signal data. The recipient includes at least one of the first player and the second player.
