    摘要: A process for preparing a coated printing paper by applying a coating solution containing a pigment and an adhesive to a base paper, which comprises coating the base paper with the coating solution containing 30 to 90% by weight, based on 100% by weight of pigment components, of rice grain- or spindle-shaped precipitated calcium carbonate as a pigment component, the precipitated calcium carbonate being produced by slaking calcium oxide with a white liquor, followed by causticization with a green liquor, at a causticizing step during pulp production by the sulfate process or the soda process; whereby the coated printing paper free from uneven gloss, mottling, and trapping unevenness, and excellent in ink drying properties and operability with a blade coater is provided.

    摘要: A computer system includes a plurality of computer nodes, each including an external communications unit. An application unit executes processing in accordance with a processing request. A synchronization unit establishes synchronization of the processing between each computer node and other computer nodes. The processing is executed by each computer node, and an inter-node communications unit executes transmission/reception of information between each computer node and the other computer nodes. The synchronization unit transmits the processing request to the other computer nodes via the inter-node communications unit, the processing request being received by the external communications unit. Also, the synchronization unit receives processing requests from the other computer nodes as well via the inter-node communications unit. Based on the number of the computer nodes that have received the same processing request via the external communications units, the synchronization unit selects a processing request that should be executed by the application unit.

    摘要: A computer system has a plurality of computer nodes, and each computer node has a plurality of virtual computers and a control base unit controlling the virtual computers. Each virtual computer constitutes a multiplexing group with another virtual computer operating on another computer node different from its own computer node, with one operating as the master and the other as the slave. The control base unit controls whether each virtual computer is operating as either the master or the slave, and monitors the respective states of each virtual computer. The control base unit, when it has detected in its own node a failure of the virtual computer operating as the master virtual computer, makes a decision whether to also switch the other virtual computers operating on its own computer node from master virtual computers to slave virtual computers with the virtual computer in which the failure occurred.

    摘要: A computer system includes a plurality of computer nodes, each including an external communications unit. An application unit executes processing in accordance with a processing request.
