摘要: A toner image fixing method reduces energy consumed in a fixing step in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. A photopolymerization composition is coated on an unfixed toner image formed on a recording medium. Then, the photopolymerization composition is irradiated with light, which does not have an emission wavelength band in a far infrared range and which has a maximum emission wavelength of 360 nm or longer to 420 nm or shorter, by using an LED, whereby the photopolymerization composition is cured and the unfixed toner image is fixed to the recording medium.

摘要: In a light measuring apparatus, pulse-like measuring light is received by n photoelectric converting means and electric signals responsive to received light intensities are outputted therefrom. Time constant converting circuits elongate each of the electric signals in the direction of a time axis and outputs elongated electric signals. The respective levels of the elongated electric signals are detected at times different in width in the direction of the time axis. At this time, the timings with which the levels of n elongated electric signals are detected are shifted from each other. By using the result of detection, the respective integral values of the n elongated electric signals can be calculated without using integrating circuits. This reduces the number of components and the size and cost of a device.

摘要: The optical properties measuring device of this invention performs preliminary emission of light from a light source prior to main light emission for sample measurement, and approximates the optical properties of the sample based on the output from a photosensor at the time of preliminary emission. Then, based on the approximated optical properties, the luminous energy for the main light emission for sample measurement is determined. Main light emission from the light source in accordance with the luminous energy determined this way is then performed, and the sample's optical properties are calculated based on the output at this time. In other words, this invention is characterized in that the sample's optical properties are approximated beforehand by means of this preliminary light emission, and the luminous energy at the time of the main light emission to perform sample measurement is changed in accordance with the result of this calculation. In this way, high-precision measurement of a sample may performed at all times regardless of the optical properties of the sample.

摘要: This spectral characteristic measuring apparatus measures two-dimensional spectral characteristics of a sample, and the apparatus includes a collimator lens, band-pass filters, lenses and an area sensor, which are arranged in order on an optical axis L. The collimator lens transforms light outputted from the sample into a pencil of parallel light. The band-pass filters have mutually-different passbands. The lenses have an identical focal distance and are arranged in correspondence with the band-pass filters. The area sensor is arranged at the focal points of the lenses and constructed of a number of imaging devices such as CCDs arranged two-dimensionally. As described above, the images spectrally separated by the band-pass filters are formed in mutually-different positions on the area sensor. Therefore, the two-dimensional spectral characteristics of the sample can be simultaneously measured with the simple construction.

摘要: A spectral colorimeter includes an integrating sphere light source for projecting a beam of illuminating light to a sample, a light intensity sensor for receiving light reflected from the sample, a spectral characteristic calculator for calculating a spectral characteristic of the sample based on light reception data. The calorimeter is provided with a positional displacement detector for detecting a positional displacement of an illuminated spot of the sample and a corrector for correcting a calculated spectral characteristic based on a detected positional displacement of the illuminated spot.
